Super User eyedabassman Posted May 15, 2010 Super User Posted May 15, 2010 I bought this bait in a few colors and have not had a chance to fish them yet! Just was wondering if there are any reports on them yet or maybe it is too soon and more of a summer bait? Quote

Just was wondering if there are any reports on them yet or maybe it is too soon and more of a summer bait? It's an all year bait. When the fish aren't feeding up top, you can put it on a light weight c-rig to get the same action down below. My favorite way to fish it is around surface vegetation. The important thing is to reel VERY slowly. Be sure to rig is perfectly straight, or it might turn over instead of wobbling from side to side. Quote
Big-O Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 EDBM, IMO, whenever subtle or quick Topwater action, or C rig is in order....Eeliminator gets the call Subsurface daylight hours, I like to tip the tail w/Chartreuse JJ's Here's a rigging link if you need it: http://www.ragetail.com/Eeliminator.html Hope you like'em and fish safe Big O www.ragetail.com Quote
Blue Streak Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 I got to fish it a little the other day before the wind kicked up. It is really not that hard to rig and it does have a nice action, gotta be slow with it though. I want to give it a good workout as soon as the wind lays down a little. It has been a wicked spring for wind and rain. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted May 17, 2010 Super User Posted May 17, 2010 Although the Eeliminator is a versatile bait, it REALLY shines on a C-rig. ;D ;D Quote
Blue Streak Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 Yes and I was wishing I had my c rig outfit with me that day Quote
Super User eyedabassman Posted May 18, 2010 Author Super User Posted May 18, 2010 What colors do you guys like on a C-rig? Quote
Big-O Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 Grn Pump, Watermelon/red and Black/blue flake for me....chartreuse tips in daylight hrs. Big O www.ragetail.com Quote
RyneB Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 I tied one on the other day for the first time. Caught a 5lber on the 3rd cast. I was just playing with it to see different actions, it hit it as i was just reeling it on top. I ended up catching 6 more bass on it that day. I caught them working the bait in all different ways. I liked it as a sub surface jerkbait. It was fun just to see how many ways to work it. Very very versatile Quote

Very very versatile That's one of the reasons I've said several times "If I could only have one Bait it would be the Eeliminator". Will fish from top to bottom effectively and in all soft plastic applications. EDBM, It was designed around the 4/0 EWG Superline but you can get by with both 3/0 or 5/0 if absolutely necessary. The 3/0 might have less hook up % than 4/0..... Big O www.ragetail.com Quote
Super User CWB Posted May 18, 2010 Super User Posted May 18, 2010 I like to swim it over shallow grass. caught some real nice ones this past weekend. (pics in My Fishing Trip or Tournament section). Big-O has another winner in this bait FO SHO! No matter how you fish it, it's killer. Quote
