As far as Jigs and Pigs go, what is your favorite thing to add to the back of a jig for a trailer?

So far, I haven't really tried many as I have just started out. I have bought a couple of Strike King crawdads though so I will be giving these a try. I am going to try pitching them to branches, trees, rocks, etc.

What is your favorite and why?

It depends on the season, water temp, and the fishes mood:

- Chigger Craw, V&M Mud Bug, Paca Chunk, Paca Craw for the most action.

- Zoom Super Chunks and Smallie Beavers for some action.

- Zoom Big Salty Chunk, small chunks or small pork frogs for the least action.

For the most part, I thread them onto the hook for a smaller profile and rig them as a chunk for a larger profile.

Right now, a toss up between a Ragetail Craw, and a sweetbeaver 4:20. Both have worked well.. ;)

Rage Tail Craw or Baby Craw, depending on the size I'm going for, but always have Rage pincers flappin' around on my jigs.

For hunting the big uns: Brush Hog

For everyday fishing, well I don 't have a favorite, somteimes I use a grub, other times a straight tail worm, others a craw.

if youre just starting out, use small jigs with small (3") trailers. you will catch fish of all sizes and build confidence fast. i usually trim the skirt to the hook bend and cut the guard down some.

id try:

1/4oz bitsy bug (cheap and works great)

5/16oz eakins

3" yum craw papi

netbait tiny paca craw

rage baby craw (havent tried this yet)

zoom tiny chunk (i dont trim skirt for these)

depends on the rate of fall and action i'm looking for. paca chunk, zoom super chunk and the v&m mudbug for a slower fall. and zoom critter craw or larew craw for a faster fall and fishing deeper. for swim jigs i have great success with a money craw. for finesse jigs i've done well using the conquistador craw.

the only thing that i reach for it chigger craw 4 inch in my two favorite colors watermelon candy and green pumpkin i usually use them on a green or black enticer jid in 1/2 oz the best combination i have found bass love them i have them on a bass pro shop bait caster with 50lb braid works amazing for getting them out of the thick sticks and brush

Rage Craw, Baby Craw, Lobster, and Space Monkey - for my Spro K-Finesse Jigs and G-man Jigs

Munkin, glad to see someone else throwing the Tiny Chunk.  Do you fish them in rivers or lakes?  I fish them exclusively in rivers and the fish whack em  8-)

-Netbait

-Chigger craws

-Zoom super chunks

-Uncle Josh Pork

-and sometimes Rage:  I like the Rage action, but its cost and durability make it a rare use for me.  They lose pinchers easier than any other trailer around and cost more than almost every other brand.
