How Do You Guys Fish A Bait Ball?

Hey guys, I was in a little cove yesterday.  Water was muddy, about 1 ft visibility, temp was about 70.  I had 2 good bait balls come up and each was obviously under attack.  I started by throwing a spinnerbait through it and under it but no luck.  I tried several baits but could not get bit.

 

WHat do you guys do when you see a bait ball?

I would throw a spook.

X2 and fish it fast like a baitfish swimming for it's life.
