A suspect in the cowardly Boston Marathon bombing was killed by police. Tragically they killed an MIT police officer. The  second suspect is being sought in the Boston suburb of Watertown. That town ans several others are on lockdown. Hopefully suspect number two will soon join his comrad.

It's hard to believe that #2 was able to escape a firefight and chase involving

trained and well armed law enforcement personnel. I hope they find him today

and don't really care if he is killed resisting arrest or trying to escape.

I disagree somewhat. I understand the sentiment, but dead men don't talk.

I think some people would like to have a chat with this fella before he rides the lightning.

personally i would rather see him caught and hopefully tell whay and give law enforcement the ability to figure out what group he is affiliated with if there is one.  I would also rather see him rot in jail because killing him is not justice it is revenge and also a cop out.  THe families of the victims have to live every day without their loved ones so he should be forced to live out his life and think about what he has done and the grief he has caused.  Hell, he may even get a wild hair and decide to help out authorities in teh future should he turn over a new leaf in prison as many other people have done.

No matter what though, they need to get this guy out of the population.

Rot in jail so I can help pay for it??!!............ I think not! I am the belief of an eye for an eye. DO NOT QUOTE GHANDI TO ME EITHER! I want to know what is the motivation behind it all but at the same time if I see he winds up on the wrong end of a round, I'm not going to she'd a tear for that piece of garbage.

Nobody is shedding a tear for him at all and do your research, rotting in prison is cheaper than a death penalty.

I just hope that none of the crazy gun-carrying citizens of Boston is sitting in their home with an AR-15 (complete with a 30 round magazine) and that poor terrorist shows up.  That wouldn't be fair to the little angel.

Jeff Bauman, who lost both legs in Boston attack, helped ID suspects

Jeff Bauman was still in intensive care, heavily sedated after surgery, but he had something he desperately needed to tell his brother. “He woke up under so much drugs, asked for a paper and pen and wrote, ‘bag, saw the guy, looked right at me,’” Chris Bauman said.

True selfless hero right there. You can read the whole story here.

I can't believe that rotting in jail can be cheaper than the death penalty. 30 years or more in jail. Food, clothing, electricity, paying corrections officers all adds up. A needle loaded up with sleepy juice and a pine box, that's cheap!

Looks like they got the other one. Justice served.    ...in a boat.  :)

There's a lot more to it than a needle full of sleepy juice and a pine box. There's several appeals processes all of which require a lawyer(s) that has experience in death penalty cases plus the actual stay on death row which is not cheap. In the end, it costs quite a bit more to execute someone than it does to keep them in prison for life.

I understand the process and fully believe absolutely everyone has the right to full use of the judicial system. I don't like the fact that abuse of said system is rampant. I was simply saying that wouldn't it be nice if things were a little more cut and dried.

If the justice system was perfect and the wrong person was never convicted you would have an argument but until that time it shouldn't happen.

Anyways enough derailing for me and I am glad the second suspect is near being apprehended.

#2 freak was wounded.

As you know if you are watching FOX they have him in a boat and are bringing in the robots to check for explosive.

Hope we can get him alive and then get as much information out of him before he gets the needle.

It's over.  They have him in custody. He's alive.

Keep this in mind guys. Even know a swift bullet would end alot of problems, if we don't give this yard bird due process, we violate everything this country was founded upon.

How apropos ... they caught him in a boat ... he will be going 'up the river' for a long period of time. Hopefully if they didn't act alone he will provide info about others involved (three acquaintences  have been arrested in nearby Fall River). Water boarding??(why not)

The departing LEO's are receiving a well deserved standing ovation from the residents of Watertown!

How did it become that these two were suspects? As much as I am for finding the guys who did this....I haven't read anything saying why they have become suspects, and everybody and their mother just like......"KILLLL THE TERRORISTS." Has anybody found anything on why?

Always have to turn political when it has nothing to do with it....

I am glad they found the guy and I agree due process needs to be followed or we are no better than any other terrorist group.

The why suspect  #1 and suspect #2 became suspects: They were seen on video footage from security cameras in the area of the bombs with backpacks. Suspect #2 was shown on security footage placing his backpack next a mail box where the second bomb exploded. They also told the person that they carjacked last night that they were the 'marathon bombers'.
