I use Pumpkinseed and Smoke/Black Flake grubs on 1/16 or 1/8th Black Round jigs with a Yellow eye. In Clear water, these 2 colors really produce.

I only mention the Black Jig/W Yellow eye because it has consistently produced more fish for me.

3" Kalin's on a 1/8oz head in clear hologram color catches everything that swims. My wife fishes grubs a lot for that very reason. I like the YUM Muy Grande grub also. Yamamoto Smoke no flake on a 1/4oz darter is one of my favorite baits on Table Rock when fishing is tough.

Fat Albert- Rootbeer pep/green, mister twister variety of color. jighead 1/16,1/8, 3/16, 1/4 depending on depth.  We have fished a  certain pond now for many years. We have caught literally thousands of bass and returned them all. The biggest fish there was taken with a little white grub.

Still use them all the time, especially for smallies but largemouth too. I use both single and double tail grubs. Yamamoto, Berkley Powerbait, Kalin's, and Mr. Twister are my favorite ones. With single tails I usually go with 4" grubs or 5" grubs, but will downsize to 3" as well. With hula grub/skirted types the 5" grub is best. Green Pumpkin, pearl white, watermelon, motor oil, and black/blue grubs are my standby colors. With jigheads it's mostly 1/8, 1/4, 3/8, or 1/2 depending on depth, but anything under 20' feet, 1/4 of an ounce is as heavy as you need to go. With hula grubs, I usually texas rig them with a 1/0 EWG hook and a parasite weight pegged to it.

Of course! I texas rig them, use them as topwaters, and use them as a swim jig trailer. Also good on an A-rig. My top 2 grubs are the powerteam lures grub and the rage grub.

Whats funny is I started out having never used a grub.  My first go to bait was a senko.  I picked up a couple of packs from Gander mountain and spent a whole day fishing them. I couldn't believe what I have been missing out on.  I had fish as big as the grub bitinig it.  Really was eye opening.

I've noticed one day they can be money and the very next day they can be almost a total bust.
