Storm has the hopper popper.  I have done pretty well with it, but it is small - 1 1/2 " 1/16 oz.

i used to make some out of foam that worked pretty good on panfish. never made them larger to target bass specifically.

Guy- I forgot About the storms, i actually have one. Just a little smaller than what I'm looking for.

Dave- those look sweet! How'd you do on them?

The reason I ask is a think theres a void here for a larger topwater lure. Come august (once the real grasshoppers get a little bigger) it'd be a great match the hatch deal. I've caught quite a few larger fish on the crickpopper and even had a few hooks straightened (lesson learned!).
