lightsout Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Other than the rebel and basspro offerings, does anyone know if anyone makes them? Preferably in a larger size. Thanks Josh Quote
The Guy Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Storm has the hopper popper. I have done pretty well with it, but it is small - 1 1/2 " 1/16 oz. Quote
kLuo Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 river2sea makes one called the "G-Hope crank." it is 3/16 oz I believe. Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted May 13, 2010 Super User Posted May 13, 2010 i used to make some out of foam that worked pretty good on panfish. never made them larger to target bass specifically. Quote
lightsout Posted May 14, 2010 Author Posted May 14, 2010 Guy- I forgot About the storms, i actually have one. Just a little smaller than what I'm looking for. Dave- those look sweet! How'd you do on them? The reason I ask is a think theres a void here for a larger topwater lure. Come august (once the real grasshoppers get a little bigger) it'd be a great match the hatch deal. I've caught quite a few larger fish on the crickpopper and even had a few hooks straightened (lesson learned!). Tight lines! Josh Quote
Gangley Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Those are very impressive Dave, how'd they work out for you? Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted May 15, 2010 Super User Posted May 15, 2010 thanks. i used these instructions to make them: part 1 part 2 they work good on panfish and small bass. Quote
