Hi guys,

Just got an entry level bow (PSE 3G STINGER) to see if I like bowhunting better...I have a feeling I'm hooked already.

I was looking for some suggestions on arrow/broadhead selection for:

1. Turkey

2. Deer

Thanks a ton guys!

Whatever you decide to buy it needs to be a .340 spine or higher. In arrows, up means down in numbers. Ex... 300 has less flextion than a 400 spine shaft.

Easton calls for a .340 spine

If you want weight as in lots of KE and Momentum a Full Metal Jacket aka FMJ would be a good one. Speed you are looking at the Flatline.

Now that you know you need a .340 spine you can look at other manufactures. Some of them will call it 350 as they go nearest fifty. You could shoot a .300 also but  .340/350 should keep you from having tuning issues.

GPI or Grains Per Inch tells you how heavy the arrow is. It works just like a bullet in this regard. An arrow thats 7.5 GPI is going to go faster but is not going to have the same KE or Momentum as a heavier arrow.

There are a lot of entry level arrows that are out there. A $60 a dozen arrow is not going to shoot any better than a $200 a dozen arrow in a rookies hands.
