Been saving up some cash for a Pro Angler myself.... It is so hard to walk into a tackle store when you can't buy anything because you promised yourself you'd save up for a kayak.

Been eyeing the PA 12 since it came out last year, but I agree, the price of entry is rather steep for me, too.

I would like to get a pedal drive boat but I really like the native mariners myself and they are 1k less than the hobie.

Yeah, looked at them, too, but I guess the only real negative I've heard is the stretch to pedal a full 360° can be uncomfortable for shorter guys. On one forum a guy said he had to lean way down in his seat to stretch the full distance.

Yeah I heard that too but for me I don't think it will be an issue. I also like the circular pedal stroke myself

The Pro Anglers are amazing boats, but - IMHO - it seems odd to call them a kayak.  They're a whole different species.
