Lure/Technique-Cranking a Booya spinnerbait in chatruese/white over 14-15 feet of water.

 

Depth-Caught suspended down about 7 over 14 feet of water

 

Weight-5lbs even

 

Caught at the super secret, classified, honey hole :grin:

Lure/Technique- Berkley Havoc Pit Boss (Green Pumpkin) T- Rigged

 

 

Structure/Cover-  Shallow rock bottom near a small dock about 6 ft from shoreline

 

 

Weight and/or Length- 7.5 lbs/ 22.5 in

Lake- Kimball Pond

 

Time- Early afternoon I believe

 

Weather-  Sunny summer day

 

Depth-  Not sure, maybe 3-6 feet

 

Cover-  Lily pads w/ a weedy bottom

 

Bait-  Black ruby baby brush hog on a 1/8 oz Bass Team Tackle shaky head

 

Length/girth- 21", did not measure girth

 

Weight- 6lbs even

I figured Dwight or Big O would be closer in the mix.... and before this thread, i didnt know we had anybody with a 14 plus much less a 19. I expected to see some major weights over 12 out of FL

Giant bass over 15 lbs are very rare and I have been blessed to fish where these special bass are located, during a time period when populations were at a peak period.

This thread should be all about showing PB bass and not a contest, just enjoying and sharing these special bass.

PB green fish is a CA Clear Lake fish. 16-6 out of 19 feet of water. Caught on a Northstar Jig August if 2011

Brownfish is a 7-11 out of Chequamegon Bay of Lake Superior in 28 fow on a 4" Roboworm. Caught July of 2009.

I lost pictures of the green fish when my hard drive bit it, it but it's recorded in the tournament catch.

Just caught my personal best a couple weeks back!!

 

State-Illinois

 

Water Depth- 3-5

 

Lure/Technique- carolina rig, 4/0 vmc 3 degree offset hook, zoom watermelon red magic trick worm

 

Structure/Cover- tree limbs that have fell off into the water and I had actually wrapped it around 3 different limbs and thought i was gonna loose it before i even got it close to the boat where it got stuck on its final limb and i pulled it off and got it in the boat! Very exciting and nerve racking catch

 

Weight and/or Length- 4 1/2 lbs

Xmas, 1975 Key West, Florida.  Caught this Cobia on a bass spinning gear as that's all I owned at that time I didn't know I should have been using salt water gear.  Have caught many bigger and harder to land over the years, but this one stayed in mind.

I was throwing a tx rigged Zoom dead ringer(4") in watermelon/red and never felt the bite. She was just "there". 

 

The funny thing Is I was just going for numbers that afternoon/evening and on my third cast she bit.
