Can anyone help me out with this one? How do you dissassemble a Daiwa Aird spinning reel to lubricate/service? As mine has been getting a bit noisy of late.

brake down of a reel isn't something you can discribe in a forum..... :Victory:

I would recommend that you take the reel in for service through your local service people, and, avoid any issues lake of knowledge would set up..

I don't know why it would be too difficult breaking the reel down,

but if you find that challenging, you 're really going to hate trying

to put it back together!

I'm not making fun of you either. I have 10 thumbs and would NEVER

consider trying to service a spinning reel on my own. Mike at DVT is

a great guy, BR sponsor and someone you can trust.

p.s. BR members get a 10% discount!

Alex, DON'T TAKE THE REEL APART UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND HAVE FAITH THAT YOU CAN PUT IT BACK TOGETHER WITHOUT LEAVING ANYTHING OUT.

Parts are small and one false move will have you on the floor with a flashlight looking for it.

You also have to know what to greese and what to oil. If  you don't you can attract a lot of dirt to your reel.

So take Roadwarrior's advice and contact either Delaware Valley Tackle or a local tackle store in your area that has a connection with a guy who works on rods and reels.

And one last suggestion: if you do want to learn how to take apart and put a reel back together purchase a cheap one and practice on it. Reels come with instructions so use the information to learn what to do.

Good luck.

Woops! There's a spinning reel care sheet up there that is general enough that it applied.
