I've also been thinkin about going with Megastrike. The guys on another forum i'm on swear by the stuff, so i ordered some. I guess it isn't really a scent but a scent masker. They also said if ya fish the cabbage that it helps keep your bait from collecting grass. I'll post back when I get to use some! :)

It may make a bass hold onto a bait longer which is a very good thing, and it will make your bait slick so it comes through cover easier. As far as attracting a bass to strike. I don't think there is an odor in the world that can actually do that.

Well said!

Try a tube of MegaStrike for yourself. I think you

will be surprised at how effective the product is.

As a bonus, MegaStrike is very user friendly.

I use it. More to hide the oders on my hands than to attract a fish though.

I use the lure to attract the fish and the Mega Strike to make sure thery hold it long enough for me to get a hook in them.

I'm a believer. 8-) The stuff is great. And yes when flippin make sure you slather it down real good, coat the sinker, and then run the excess up the line a few feet.

As others said.. i love it..

-Mask your odor

-get bait lubed well for going through weeds very easily

-Hold baits longer

-extremely user friendly.. No oily bottles of spray that wash off after one spray and get all over

-and probably one of my favorite reasons= When fishing with "tougher" plastics, ill put a dab right where the hook is and slide it through a couple times.. This lubes up the hook and ensures a very easy glided hookset right between their eyes  :)

i like these kind of "scents" for use on swimbaits , i use them more as a "lube" to make the baits appear as tho they have a slime coat and to make them go through grass better , also to enhance the "flavor" when a bass bites them !! only thing is , i have never used Megastrike , i use Pro Cure Super Gel http://www.***.com/Pro_Cure_Super_Gel/descpage-PCSG.html

I do a lot of T-rigging. At times I will miss strikes as the bass just do not hold on long enough for me to stick them. This is when I apply Mega-Strike, it will help them to hold on a bit longer so for me it works.

This basically sums it up..but who knows,,hard to say.

I have tried just about every scent on the market and they have all ended up collecting dust in my garage with the exception of one. Heck I still have bottles of Fish Formula from the 80's in my garage. LOL

Megastrike strike made a believer out of me. One day I was fishing a clear lake in fairly open water with a frog. I watched as bass after bass would swim up to and even bump my frog with there nose but not take it. I put a little Megastrike on my frog and Bam. The lookers became hookers.

Now I have had days when nothing would work, even Megastrike, but after that one day I won't be fishing any Frogs without it ever again. It's not magic, but when there being finicky and extremely picky I believe it does help. One other plus is, especially with frogs, is once they taste the stuff they do hold on longer giving me much better hookup ratios. In fact the only other lures I ever used that worked as well as far as Bass holding on and not letting go where back in the days when Mr. Twister made there plastics with Banana scent, as crazy as that sounds the bass around here loved the stuff. Not even Berkley's Power Baits come close to adding Megastrike to unscented plastics in my experience.

(Dang. If Megastrike don't sponsor me after this post. J/K LOL)

Edit: I lied for I forgot about another scent that has worked for me also and thats Edge Hot Sauce Gel. Since I started using Megastrike last year Edge has kinda taken a back seat, but that's good stuff to. There was also, back somewhere around the 80's a scent that came in a chap stick tube kind of like BioEdge that also worked good, but it's no longer made. Basically what I am getting at is there are some scents that do work or did work back in the day, but nothing works as well for me as Megastrike does today.

I'll like to also add that it helps keep unwanted scent off your baits.
