Super User DogBone_384 Posted May 2, 2014 Super User Posted May 2, 2014 Bike is dusty, havent fired many rounds at the shooting range, and i dont work out or run on saturday mornings anymore. Sounds familiar..... Though I don't fish that often either, working two jobs & family obligations. Quote
Super User bigbill Posted May 3, 2014 Super User Posted May 3, 2014 Rainy days I'd rather be fishing, it's fishing at its best. I love bear hunting and go every year at my property. Hunting is awesome too. But I like bass fishing too. It's the thrill of catching a bass on a lure. The challenge of it. I love tracking bears in the fresh fallen snow too. It's the danger I seek. Super User bigbill Posted May 3, 2014 Super User Posted May 3, 2014 Sounds familiar..... Though I don't fish that often either, working two jobs & family obligations. I did the same thing in my younger days raising a family was more important. But as my young family became older I took them fishing right away. We did the boy scout and cub scout thing too. I regret no doing more with them but they had a roof over there head, a warm bed and food. That's our job right. God bless bigbill Quote
Bamacapsfan Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Fishing-golf-hunting. It's a balance of fishing and golf. My wife likes to golf a little more than she enjoys fishing. Hunting takes over when the seasons open. Quote
Amarley Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 I don't play golf anymore and I was a scratch player when I started fishing. I enjoy fishing a lot more, it's more relaxing and it's a new puzzle to solve every time on the water. Quote
JLeon77 Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 I was a 9 handicap and used to golf in tournaments almost every weekend...haven't picked up a golf club in more than a year. Now I fish most weekends and can't get enough. I am hooked on fishing and I'm pretty cool with it. Wish I could say the same for my wife... Quote
Super User Jar11591 Posted May 7, 2014 Super User Posted May 7, 2014 I put EVERYTHING on the back burner for fishing. The front burners are indefinitely reserved for fishing. Quote
Big Bassman Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Every spring and summer and fall! I shoot in the winter unless I'm fishin! Quote
fishva Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 No. Thankfully, my hobbies all go together well. I ski in the winter, and play my guitar / video games / in the evenings. It never really feels like one thing gets in the way of another. Quote
guisingerevan Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Unfortunately, I've had fishing on the the backburner since moving to belgium. (Not) Fishing here sucks. Although, fishing in europe in general can be very good, so I'm looking for areas to go since nothing in europe is too far away. Now I spend 6 days a week in the gym. When I come back to MN for a 3 week visit I'll be fishing every hour that I'm not in the gym lol. Quote
stk Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 I've put on hold working on my 78 CB550 motorcycle, as well as a slew of house projects. Quote
