What are the best places you've been to in Ohio to catch bass?  Smallmouth, Largemouth, Rock, Striped, any kind of bass.  I've fished the Muskingum River, Blue Rock State Park, Dillion State Park, and that's about it.  This summer I'd really like to try some new places and see if I can catch more fish than last year.
Please help me out and let me know where you like to fish in Ohio.

I live in ohio and fish all my local waters including: tappan, saltfork, leesville, portage, ohio river etc. each of them present their own set of challenges but once you figure one out it can yield a good day of fishing. Also of course Erie is no Doubt the best fishery in ohio.

If you come down the southeast ohio you will have good luck at lake snowden, burr oak, and lake Logan. Also you could try tycoon lake, which have big bass but is fish very hard. I have also heard good things about lake Rupert and also lake alma but I have never fished those lakes.

Erie is always good, especially the western basin! Mosquito Lake is always good, but is pressured from all the tournaments. Portage lake and Nimisila have good sizes. The Cuyahoga River down in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park is another good spot for smallies. Clear Fork and Berlin are others I've had good success at.

I can't remember clearly but there is a few spots up by Trumbull county with some great bass fishing. I think there is a lake out by West Mecca that has nice Largemouth too. I would research that on google. I fished a few of them when I was like 16 but that was 13 years ago lol

Good luck!
