Put 200+ casts on my new Shimano Clarus last night, love it! I think I paid $80 for it. Have it paired with a Chronarch.

The veritas and quantum alliances are very good, as well as the BPS extremes and bionic blades. The best value were the old tourney specials for $50. They aren't as good as the veritas or alliance but they were good. Now they changed them and the ratings are lower.

I have one of the Academy H20 Elite rods (the blue blank with the EVA grip) and for $79 ($59 if you wait for one of their rod riots), it boasts fuji micro guides, a fuji skeleton reel seat, and I've fount the 6'10" MHF to be a pretty sensitive, lightweight, functional all around baitcaster paired with a good fluoro. It's my main heavy t-rig rod, and that means a lot if you're me.

I have had alot of rods trying to look for the lighest best feeling rods that i can. I now own 3 abu garcia veritas, 1 lamiglass excel, and halo twillite and i love them all dearly for there own presentations. I am going to have to say I like the veritas better than the rest. They seem to have the most feel and are light and very durable. I also like the bps carbon lights but this just my opinion and hope it helps.

I've actually been happy with Daiwa Procyon rods....they are like 40-50 dollars and I put fish in the boat with them.

They feel OK, a bit tip heavy but for the price you gotta give on something.

They are work-horses for me.

I paid $99 for a new cumara recently from TW. Havent had the chance to use it yet, but if It fishes ad well as the reviews are I would say that is a pretty good rod for under $100.

IMO: Shimano Sellus for under $75, Move up to Falcon Bucoo for $99 -$110 range. There are many choices in the $100 price range.

if you want to save a few bucks the Abu Vendetta is a very solid choice too. Not super finesse type rods, but as far as being a good workhorse rod I like them.  Used to fish veritas' but I had quite a few issues with quality control and I broke 2 of them.  Haven't had any of these issues with the vendetta.

there are a bunch of good rods around the$100 mark. veritas, *** black, carbonlite. all these rods are good, my favorite is the ***. but ill bet you be happy with any of them. also the powell diesel's are REAL good rods for the money

I have many of the rods named, but the bucoo and mojo need to be added, dont think I saw them brought up, if so my mistake. I dont own either.

don't know about their casting rods, but i have 3 hurricane spinning rods and they're great, for about $90, oh and my local Sports Authority on Powerline Rd and Hilsborough Blvd has ALL fishing gear 25% off!

Shimano Compre is $99 and I love mine too

I currently use all Mojo's and love them but I really want to try a Powell Diesel and a *** rod out. Maybe one of them will be my next rod.
