Super User retiredbosn Posted April 8, 2013 Super User Posted April 8, 2013 Going thru my jig box, I noticed I have several jigs with wide gap hooks. Hardly any shank to put the trailer on. I don't remember where I purchased these, but what benefit is there to having wide gap hooks on a jig? Quote
Super User rockchalk06 Posted April 8, 2013 Super User Posted April 8, 2013 I got rid of mine for the same reasons! Quote
The Young Gun Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 I don't mind them at all! I like them still. I noticed you do have less place for the trailer but I still like them. Quote
davew41 Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Are you meaning short shank hook?? Vs gap? Sometimes a real small jig presentation can work to your advantage. Just like downsizing soft plastics. Put a smaller trailer on them like the old famous zoom swimmin chunk and give them a try. Quote
