Super User J Francho Posted April 8, 2013 Super User Posted April 8, 2013 They work great on both shaky heads and drop shot. Also a good split shot bait. Quote
Solution bullett 21 Posted April 8, 2013 Solution Posted April 8, 2013 1/0 drop shot hook .Fluro carbon leader with braid as main line,The leader is 3 ft long .Robo worm .Im a drop shot freak .I use them on our clear water lake lanier ,They do produce fish when other things wont work .Drop shotting takes a lot of patience ,My average retrieve is about 3 to 4 minutes to the boat once i set on the bottom.I catch more fish this way ,then any other way .Ive got drop shot down pat .Patience is the key to drop shot .The bite is a feel bite .Always keep a taught line on the retrieve,Might be the slightest tap .set the hook ,Once you catch a couple with drop shot you will get the feel .I like sliding mine over logs and structure at times too.In most cases it gets hit going down when you cast .or straight drop.Be Ready .TAP TAP <SET THE HOOK .My fluro carbon is 8lb test 1 Quote

bullett 21 Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 1/8 once ,Just tie your hook with a palamor knot ,run the tag end threw the back side of the hook ,Thats what will make the hook 90 degree from your main line . This weight is for open water ,If im fishing lots of thick wood ,i use a cylinder weights.Less hang up in the wood . I like my worm to drop at a slow rate.To the bottom of what im fishing . Always have your fluro leader smaller then your main line .The smaller you can use the better you will do .It does take some getting use to ,once you hook up you will see what im talking about. Like J Francho said also .Lots of uses for any plastic. 1 Quote
Brian Needham Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 I need help are they best from drop shot or I hoping to use them on my shakyheads? I got few packs of inch ones! any advice? what inch size? I throw the 7 inch ones on a 1/4 oz megastrike shakey head on a 742 dobyns with a core 50 reel(12#)..... I will drop shot with 4 or 6 inch robo on a 702 finesse dobyns with a core 50 (10#)........anything lighter will be on a spinning gear. Quote
bullett 21 Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 When it in the water the hook turns 90 degree ,as long as the worm will float .Robos float for a while but get limp after while .The trick is to keep the worm 90 degree from your line .It performs so much better.Makes them bass hit it .It will aggravate bass to no end Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted April 8, 2013 Super User Posted April 8, 2013 They work on carolina or mojo type rigs too. Quote
Super User Hooligan Posted April 9, 2013 Super User Posted April 9, 2013 I Texas rig them a lot, C-rig, mojo, split shot, wacky, dropshot, shaky... They're another worm to use for about anything you use a worm for. 1 Quote
