I have a spinnerbait rod with 14lb fluro and I throw mostly 3/8th oz spinnerbaits, but now I wanna throw my Cavitron 3/8th oz buzzbaits on it. Maybe it's just me but the sinking line with a topwater seems dumb. What's a good mono line and pound test for the spinnerbaits and buzzbaits? Is big game in green okay?

The line generally wont matter TBH...because the buzzbait sinks anyway theres really no reason to use mono or fluro. I would never use mono fishing a buzzbait because I hate line stretch.

But thats just me.

I fish buzzbaits on fluoro all the time, it's fine. They move too fast for the sinking line to be a factor.

I use braid for both. Tied direct to a buzzbait, and sometimes with, sometimes without a fluoro leader for spinnerbaits. I have in the past tied fluoro direct to buzzbaits and it was fine. Your usually not letting a buzzbait sit, or sink and have a pretty straight "line" to it. Not the ideal choice for me, but it works fine.

Fluorocarbon stretches just as much as mono if not more in some cases (Seaguar InvizX, Gamma Edge),

A high quality mono Senshi/Sunline super natural would also work very well, 15-17lb.
