Dixon Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 Bobby I thought these baits where suppose to be on TW like months ago. Whats the hold up with production? Quote
Bobby Uhrig Posted May 3, 2010 Author Posted May 3, 2010 Molds are back ed up right now-Packaging is being built. Had to make sure everything was perfect or wasnt going to bring them to market Quote
D4u2s0t Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 picture? take 2 stickbaits, similar to a senko, and lay one across the other so it makes an x shape... that's the basic idea. Quote
Super User Big Bait Fishing Posted May 3, 2010 Super User Posted May 3, 2010 it is the same bait as Reins cross-swamp soft plastic bait ...... Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted May 4, 2010 BassResource.com Administrator Posted May 4, 2010 Ok folks, here's the video. Enjoy! http://www.bassresource.com/Bass/Fishing/video/Wing-ding.FLV Quote
ichigo Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 bobby, is those lures made for texas rigging? what size? Quote
Dixon Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 It looks like a airplane coming thru the water. lol Quote
Bobby Uhrig Posted May 4, 2010 Author Posted May 4, 2010 It is absolutily no where near that Reins bait. Totally different concepts /actions/ plastic density-consistancy- and more. The reins is more like two floating worms cross shaped. This bait I developed was shown to the President of Yamamoto Baits over three years(documented) ago and asked for their blessings to produce it. He actually said that is the next hybrid stickbait. This bait is off the hook. Big bass love this bait. Quote
rubba bubba Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 I made my own with some mend-it. 8-) How'd you do with it? Did you smoke them? Was it off the hook? Mind blowing? C'mon man, don't leave us hanging. Quote
Super User Tin Posted May 4, 2010 Super User Posted May 4, 2010 I'm absolutly pumped about trying some. Cool idea John, never thought of doing that with Mend It. Quote

Bobby Uhrig Posted May 4, 2010 Author Posted May 4, 2010 Because nomatter what most of the clowns on this site say LOL-We at Megastrike have integrity. We are very well respected and also recipricate that respect. I give full acknowledgement that the "stickbait craze" was developed by Gary Yamamoto.I also know very well a gentleman that developed (over 25 years ago )the Jersey Rigg-Jeff Cammerino. The original stickbait. So out of respect I showed them what I was doing and asked if there were any issues. They said they appreciated the gesture and said run with it.They did not have this bait in their arsenal.Like I said it was a respect thing. so now i am taking my Wing Ding and going fishing. I will bring back some pics if I "SMOKE UM" Quote

If you developed it and had the capacity to make it why did you need the blessings of another company to produce it? And if they already had it in development why would they let someone else put out the same thing and take money out of their pockets. I believe I will do as Avalonjohn44 and make my own with a little mend-it, if I ever have the desire to fish with something that swims like Lt. Dan. Lt. Dan had no legs. This thing technically has 4 so your assessment makes no sense. Quote

This thing technically has 4 so your assessment makes no sense. Try again, this thing has a head two arms and a torso and no legs. If your going to try and insult someone at least learn basic anatomy. No you might have some argument if you were referring to the cross swamp since it is designed to be hooked in the intersection and not the shorter "head" end of the bait as in the video. Quote
rubba bubba Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 I nominate this for Thread of the Month. Excellent work by everyone; bonus points for working "torso" into a post. Quote

Bobby Uhrig Posted May 5, 2010 Author Posted May 5, 2010 Not referring to the users - I am fine with everyone here- I'm referring to the clowns -they know who they are as we are friends-and you can also check out the little "LOL" at the end of that line. As for selling more baits. They sell themselves. As for hurting my feelings - Uh ! didnt feel a thing-Like I said it is a new bait. The reins.. as stated before is crossed in the center and designed to be hooked there. It is also a softer consistency of plastic. As for the kicker fish deal -that seems to be designed as an alternative way to rig it than putting the hook directly into the worm. Possibly for longer or better durability.I could be wrong. The Wing Ding was designed to have that wacky rig action with a Texas rig /weedless application. It was also designed with a larger profile and perfectly balanced appendages for better action as you see in the video. If its not balanced correctly -it dosent work.. It was designed to catch larger fish by using the larger profile. Quote
BassThumb Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 Thx for the vid, Glenn. They look great, and it they actually float, they'll make a fine slop lure. Bobby, I'll take 4 packs, ASAP. Black/blue, white, watermelon/red, green pumpkin. Quote

A lot of people like to make assumptions without knowing what's up. If that's not you then don't worry about it. Megastrike is doing just fine without having to add anything new. If they do, then they probably have their ducks in a row. Keep kickin @$$ Bobby! And when are these due out? Within the next month will be cool as I am out of fishing until then, but heck I can't wait to try this texas rigged. If you can make em black with chart tips! Quote
