Anyone here used the LC salad spoon? Supposedly it has similiar action to a Rage Shad and is used the same way, on top over heavy cover.

Looks like the "Eeliminator."

I've never used either but both look like great options for matted grass.

Excellent "slop" bait. Caught my biggest LM last year in the pads with one. Very underrated, in my opinion.

They've been around a long time. Great slop bait, like Crestliner said. Good hook up rate also. I likr the black w/ chart. tail.

I think the whole lunker city lure line-up is underrated.

Remember  my post awhile back, where I said the Slug-Go was the most underrated.

Lunker City is more of a Northeast thing. The salad spoon was before it's time.

They don't have the advertising budget of say Strike-King.

Both the salad spoon and rage shad give you pretty much the same look as a weedless spoon with a single tail grub.  The color options are better, but sometimes the flash of the spoon is better.   I haven't seen the salad spoon in many stores, if I see them I'll definitely try them.  I've had more luck with the shad than frogs.

bought my first pack of salad spoons.. they were marked 50% off at ganders.  tested it on the water and i'm eager to throw it out on some mats.  it's gonna be fun.

I used to use the salad spoon until I discovered the rage shad. Probably was the insiration for the Rage Shad. IMO, hook slot is actually a disadvantage when fishing the real heavy stuff as hook pushes up and tends to get snagged up. T-rig the Rage Shad and skin hook the bait on top and no worries. Rage Shad has much better action fast or slow. Salad Spoon does cast farther, which can be a plus. Keep both in your arsenal.

They both produce.
