Any opinions, good or bad. Just wondering, Walmart has 200 yd. spools for right around 12 bucks.

I tried some in the 12# test recently and absolutely will never use that again. That crap had bad spots in the line straight out of the pack, and I don't mean tiny little imperfections either. I did also pick up a 15# spool, and that seems to be a little better, but I'd just spend a little more and get something else. Cheap fluoro always disappoints.

I have mixed feelings with the original green label Vicious.  I have had no issues with the 15lb test and up but anything below that is VERY inconsistent.  I spooled up a spinning reel with 8lb and loved it, but on the next spinning reel (same brand and model) using the same exact spool I had nothing but issues with it breaking for no reason after making sure nothing was wrong with the rod guides and reel.

On another note, I hear the Vicious Pro Elite is a lot better but have yet to try it.

I've used it.  But the Seaguar Invizx and Abrazx are by far a superior product.  Yes you pay a little more, but the headaches will be less.  You'll make the cost up on the first lure you don't break off.  I'm sure there are some other floro's out there that are good too.  I've had bad experiences with two floro's.  Viscious and Vanish.  Both start with a "V"   :Idea3:

I wanted to shoot myself using vicious. No problems with the 100% fluoro by berkley.

Absolutely agree! I will say the Viscous Pro Elite leader material has worked great, I have had nothing but good reports and repeat buyers using it to build my Muskie leaders, but all ends are terminated with double barrel crimp sleeves, I would not expect as good of results if I were tying it as there filler spools have been a let down.  The Seaguar Abrazx is all I use anymore under 25Lbs. test, as it has worked wonderful. My search for a good Fluoro ended there.

Seaguar offers proprietary fluorocarbon at several pricing points. Stick with a name you can trust.

I have, up till now been using Seaguar Red Label. I know it's their low end, but I have never had any problems.

I didn't care for it. When I was searching for a good low-cost flouro to use for leader material after I decided to quit using Vanish and Trilene 100%, it was one I tried because our local Wal-Mart carried it. One brief weeknight outing using 15lb pitching plastics into zebra mussel incrusted milfoil pockets, and it was chewed up bad every half dozen pitches, where as Red Label, and Trilene were not. After spending more time re-tying then fishing that night, that spool went straight into the garbage, and Vicious has been added to the list of lines I won't use even it was free (along with Spidrewire Fluorobraid, Vanish in anything bigger than 10lb test, and Yo-zuri hybrid) Seaguar Red Label for the same money is much much better. I rate the Vicious lower than Vanish in quality, and most people hate Vanish (I don't under 10lb, I just like Red Label better)

It's cheap for a reason.  Spend the extra $8 and get Berkley or Seaguar.
