This article also cements my dislike for ferrari. Porsche and Corvette always had more class.

The Mazda is sweet, those cup races are awesome to watch, puts "rubbing is racing" to a whole new level.

But the McLaren is amazing.

little more info....

and look here porsche fans this is a equally sick car....

That's a crazy powertrain, hybrid?

Edit: I still give it about a week before that 727 hp 3.8 litre pops.

I guess that beats my favorites. I was a big fan of Rusty Kuntz when he played in the early 80's, and I'm partial to the AMC Pacer.

The Porsche hybrid was quoted 795 but they are try to push 820's outta it

Don't know McLarens plans with this one but the F1 was actually a pretty decent endurance and touring car. It competed in the JTC and enduros in Japan and Europe. Granted the price at the time was like 5 times what a NSX or GTR cost that was racing against it.

Not bad. I was always partial to Pontiacs though like me the judge front grill and deck spoiler better. Chevy's styling look like grandma would drive it lol.

But grandma would beat you to the next light with that smoke puffing 396.  Im a big fan of heavy muscle cars from the late 60's to early 70's.  Pontiac Judge/ Chevelle/ olds 442/Camero/ Nova/ Mustang/ you name it- those cars just make me wanna stand in the gas and get a ticket!

I totally dig muscle cars too. I lived not to far from budds creek in md and Friday nights that is where we would be, of course it was the late 90's and a crx with a gsx swap and turbo was what I thought was cool but now a days with 4 kids a 64 409 belair is my type a deal there. It seats 6 easy and GOES to get those groceries.

So in 69 the Chevelle ran a 396 the judge was a 396 also, the 402 was in 70 right? Which one woulda won at the strip.

Hmmmm......probably the guy who ponied up the cash (less than $1000 extra) and got the L78/L89 option with the Hi performance 396 w/ aluminum heads!  HAHA

Mostly the really hot stuff was from the 60's. After the 1970 year models the government started to step in with emission standards and the raw horsepower went downhill. The small block Chevys were screamers then if that wasn't enough then the big blocks ruled. The fords & chryslers were pretty nasty as well.

Of all the awesome cars from that era, a Chevelle would be your choice? Not knocking you, just genuinely curious.

Tough choices.....let me sleep on that one. But I will say it is in the running.

In 1966 you could buy a corvette for $2000-2500.

Nice ride A-Jay.

I also like the the G8 but my favorite modern pontiac would be the Firebird with the LT1 and Ram Air hood.

Sad that there is no more Pontiac.

Speaking of Pontiacs my wifes first new car was a Silver Pontiac Sunfire. She/We had 17 inch white team dynamics wheels on it, with falken tires I think. An adjustable coil over kit and a RK Sport body kit with the ram air hood. The interior had the white gages, a shi, blue led pedals, an alpine stereo that match the blue/silver/white theme and JL audio high, mids and lows in the doors and rear. I got old pretty quick, just a pain with the kits and lowering and keeping it clean. She got a SVT Focus next which she drove then I inherited it, I loved that car. It was way more fun to drive than the sunfire. LOL

Amen. Nothing is better to me than a scenario such as Jim Scoutten from Motor Trend TV narrating while some country fella boils the rear tires of a Chevelle on a country back road while Hot Blooded by Foreigner plays during the intro.

Maybe I'm thinking of Car & Driver TV. Anyhow, you get the picture.
