Mr.Topwater Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Been having trouble lately trying to find that "right craw" for me and was just wondering what are some of your favorite craw baits and what you would reccomend. Thanks. Quote
Super User Scott F Posted April 2, 2013 Super User Posted April 2, 2013 I like the Yum Crawbug. 1 Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted April 2, 2013 Super User Posted April 2, 2013 Rage Craw and Baby Rage Craw 2 Quote
StinkyBass Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 the bass in my lake like "netbait, baby pacacraws". they absolutely kill the orange and brown color as well as the black and chartreuse. i like that they are hollow body and bathed in pig fat and salt! i love the action that the claws produce. when tx rigged, and popping off the bottom, the bait rests claws up (like a defense position). i've also burned these things on the top as a make shift buzz bait. the claws make good top water disturbance and work well in a pinch (no punn intended). Match the hatch in your lake, but i feel you cant go wrong with these... Quote
bassh8er Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Crawbug for me too. I have used the Rage Craw, but I have so much confidence in the Crawbug, both as a trailer and fished alone on a Texas rig, that I don't feel the need to throw anything else. Quote
Bassfishing375 Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 I love fishing craw my favorite are Crazy Leg Chigger Craw, Yum Money craw , Yum Craw bug, Netbait paca craw, and the rage craw. Any of these are good. Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted April 2, 2013 Super User Posted April 2, 2013 When I want one that flaps and causes a commotion...Netbait Paca craws. When I want a subtle bait........GYCB craws. I have a few "new to me" craws that I am going to try this year. All from the Berkley Havoc line, the Rocket Craw, the Craw Fatty, and the Slop Craw. Quote
BassinBoy Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Hands down the Chigger Craw for me, awesome bait with awesome action, it really attracts quality bites Quote
papajoe222 Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 I go with the NetBait Paca Craw line-up, but if I'm looking for something with a little less action, I like the Yum Craw Papy 1 Quote
Super User Darren. Posted April 2, 2013 Super User Posted April 2, 2013 I've used GYCB craws, and one bag of BPS craws. Had most success on the GYCB craws. Quote
Super User eyedabassman Posted April 2, 2013 Super User Posted April 2, 2013 I too will have to go with the Paca Craw line up! Quote
SDoolittle Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Gene Larew Salt Craw and Berkley Chigger Craw Quote
mjseverson24 Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Havoc craw fatty, pit boss, and slop craw, good baits at an afordable price. Mitch Quote
Basspastor Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 A Lake Fork Crawtube or one of the knockoffs if not tournament fishing. Havoc Craw Fatty (Really like this as a chatter jig trailer) Zoom Speed Craw as a swim jig trailer. Chiggar Craw have only used them a couple of times and have never bought my own pack, but man did those things catch fish when I used them. Quote
smbrule! Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Netbait baby paca craw. Sometimes I use a lighter to burn the end and pinch it closed. Then ride the sinker up the line and if you are not using a heavy hook the craw will float off the bottom. Quote
Super User MCS Posted April 2, 2013 Super User Posted April 2, 2013 Zoom Ultravibe craw and I just got the Culprit Incredi-craw a month or so ago and like those so far. Quote
Hyrule Bass Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 baby rage craw, hands down. can fish it many ways and in all levels of the water column. its killer swimming it as a topwater too 1 Quote
