Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted April 1, 2013 Super User Posted April 1, 2013 Palmer is leaving. We got Flynn! Now for the best part it appears that Seattle is thinking about taking Lineart from us. That gets rid of two qbs. Now to get rid if McLain. The best part about them taking Flynn means that we are hopefully not going to waste a draft pick on a qb. Quote

Super User Sam Posted April 2, 2013 Super User Posted April 2, 2013 Funny, Dean. Yep, Oakland is coming back. I was surprised the Packers cut Flynn after his outstanding preseason game where he threw for over 300 yards. He is a proven winner; has a BCS National Championship under his belt; and can read and write. He is also a pro style quarterback. Here come the Raiders!!!! 1 Quote

I think Flynn can thank my Patriots for his lucrative contracts. He has 2 career starts, the first of which he lit up a weak pats secondary for a ton of yards and almost a win in foxboro. Since then its been "potential". Quote
Super User Darren. Posted April 2, 2013 Super User Posted April 2, 2013 All I can say is Buffalo got Kevin Kolb! Twas QB day in the NFL today. I think Radiers and Bills each got better, each relieved requirement to draft a QB in the top 10. Well, maybe. Quote
Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted April 2, 2013 Author Super User Posted April 2, 2013 Reggie is rebuilding and cleaning house. It might take a couple more years but my Raiders are about to make a come back. Quote
craww Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Lucks like Hayward bay will be hooking up with Andrew Luck next year...with those tight ends and Ty Hilton also stretching the field, Indy will be explosive. Raider, has Pryor gotten any playing time? I wouldn't mind seeing what he can do. Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted April 2, 2013 Super User Posted April 2, 2013 The QB carousel continues in Oakland. Hopefully Flynn can live up to that potential. It would be nice to see the Raiders contend again. Of course they would lose to my G-Men but 2nd place isn't all that bad. Right Patriot fans?? Quote
Hyrule Bass Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 The Raiders also adjusted Flynns contract and gave him more money... Quote

The man is good. I'd give him maybe another year. However if he starts this year I won't complain. Watching him play preseason last year was extremely entertaining. I've never seen a qb scramble like he can. Quote
scrutch Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 Don't worry Raiders fans... there is always Jamarcus Russell ! Quote

I would have rather seen them just keep Fitz. Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted April 3, 2013 Super User Posted April 3, 2013 What about Pryor? A month or so ago he was going to be the leader of the resurrection of the Raiders. Quote

Super User Darren. Posted April 3, 2013 Super User Posted April 3, 2013 i would call fitzpatrick vs kolb a wash... We'll see. I still expect a QB drafted by the Bills... If Kolb becomes stater, he'll have a better O Line than he did in AZ, Philla. Unless he's had his confidence beat out of him.... Quote
Super User deaknh03 Posted April 3, 2013 Super User Posted April 3, 2013 Kolb, Fitzpatrick, whatever, neither one is gonna win anything for anyone, ever. Quote

Super User deaknh03 Posted April 3, 2013 Super User Posted April 3, 2013 Sigh... Probably true. and it's not a bash on the Bills, most teams are in the same boat. To win, you need an above average, if not elite QB, and there aren't many of them floating around.Denver scored last year with Manning, and a couple of years ago Arizona elevated their team for years with the pickup of Warner. These things don't happen very often. Quote

Of course coaching helped, and solid depth on the teams.... Quote

Who'da thunk Kaepernick or Russell Wilson were gonna be so great this year. Of course coaching helped, and solid depth on the teams.... Kaepernick surprised me, but i had a lot of confidence in Russell Wilson. I thought the guy shouldve been a first round pick all along, he wasnt because of his height. its always been my belief teams were a little too picky when it came to a couple inches of height or a few pounds of weight, as theyre always looking for that "prototypical player". I went to college at NC State and am a fan of their college sports teams. I watched a lot of Russell Wilson at NC State and then at Wisconsin when he transfered there. I had no doubts the guy could play QB at the NFL level. I even told a close friend of mine who brung up the Luck vs RG3 rookie of the year debate in the preseason last year that i thought Russell Wilson had a chance to beat both of them out, and he came dang close. By the end of the season it wasnt Luck vs RG3 for rookie of the year when the media debated it, it was RG3 vs Wilson. If my Redskins didnt make the trade to draft RG3, i wouldve probably been just as satisfied with Russell Wilson... Quote
