I have a Talon I need to install between the transom and motor.  I have a 150 Yamaha and was reading the directions and it says you can loosen the nuts, slide the motor off on side and put the mounting bracket on.  Is that possible without a motor lift or should I just pay to have it mounted?  Any advise is appreciated!

Need a lift. I looked into it. Was told 3-4 hours labor. What kind of boat? I'm going to mount it direct to the transom on my Lund.

A local shop said 2 hours to do it.  I just wondered if it was something feasible or not.  I have a Stratos 185 and it won't mount to my transom without hitting the motor.

Very easy to do with out a lift. We did a buddy of mines power pole like this with that style bracket. Use a piece of wood and a jack to support the engine under the skeg. Just go very slowly and be careful, not hard at all. If you don't feel confident though just take it in.

I do what I am good at...

I pay people that are good at things to do the rest.

Take it in.

What size was your engine?

I think I am going to just pay someone to do it for me. I am afraid i will screw something up.
