I've gotta say, this season is looking pretty good. The past few days have been warmer and i've been catching good numbers. I've mainly been throwing spinnerbaits and weightless Zoom Lizards in Watermelon Candy color. I caught about 16 yesterday, then today i hooked up with what i though was a nice bass but turned out to be a 5 pound brook trout... on a KVD Finesse Spinnerbait.. CRAZY! Anyways, how is everyone elses spring bassin' going? And any suggestions on what to throw to catch QUALITY fish rather than big numbers? Feel free to share your current favorite bait and where your throwing it as well please.

Tight lines!

Just starting to heat up here. Try a Rage Recon worm if you're fishing slow or a 3/8 to 1/2 oz swim jig with a 5" swimbait trailer for bigger fish.

I've been out a handful of times in the past couple of weeks.  I've caught 4 and missed a couple others.  Been having better luck in the evenings then the mornings.  All my fish (catches and misses) have been on spinnerbaits (red or chartreuse) or a Rage Tail Shellcracker rage-rigged and have been caught around lily pad beds or shallow flats close to shore.

I've been out a couple times but the weather doesn't seem to want to cooperate much. Caught my first fish of the year thursday (a little dink) on a weightless senko and that's been it.

We've finally warmed up here in Mid Missouri! 70's for most of next week!

I haven't been out much in the last few weeks because of the snow. We've had a few late winter storms for the region. I'm still trying to do my spring work on my boat (oil change and such), so I haven't been out much. Beat the banks a few times and got skunked, but was still worth the time. Still fishless in '13.

Non-existent yet. Local lake still has the "top" on it. And I don't like traveling to new water for the first run of the year, just incase there is a problem. It's looking like at least another week and a half before the ice is gone on the home lake. If I get too antsy before then, I'll go hit the next one further to the east which is only about 1/2 hour away, it's ice free now, at least around the launch.

went out yesterday a head of a front, caught about 25 fish in 2 hours, then the rain set in and they shut down. It sure was fun while it lasted :)
