bassinKS Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 My walmart has this right now too. They also have a little clearance section of random baits, lures and hooks. I scored some 4/0 and 5/0 Trokar TK130 Flipping hooks for $4.50 regular $6.99, I have been needing some flipping hooks and have wanted to try the Trokar brand so I picked them up almost wiped them clean lol. joeyfishes Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 I got a pack of yum craws, some Strike King worms, and two of the same crankbait for only a couple bucks. Quote
Hattrick7 Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 The lazy Ike's a great bait. I usually let my 7 year old use one and he does well on it. I just picked up a couple from the dollar bin at Walmart and used one so far. How are they supposed run? The one I used ran a little then turned over and repeated. It was weird and I don't know if that's normal since this is my first time using them. Quote
craww Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 They should just wiggle side to side and kind of flutter at the same time on a straight retrieve...I've had a few of those heddon Baits get a little out of tune, the line ties can get turned a little too far too the left or right. Id check that first, maybe tighten it another full crank or superglue if need be. Quote
das028 Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 Bought a bomber spinner out of one of those boxes. Threw it out a few times got nothing. never really gave it a chance though I will when the mood strikes. Only gripe is the color....its a chartruse (sp?) Quote
das028 Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 On a related topic...I did buy one of those cheap spinner they have hanging up without a package for $1. I took the skirt off and have been experimenting with rubber trailers rigged on the hook. So far, I've tried a mini fluke witch I didnt like. I also tried a 4.5 inch suggo, buy only threw it out a few times. It looked good though...If i was a bass I would of hit it!!! haha I think after work I'm gonna bring a handfull of plastics and only that lure and try things out. I'll let you guys know if anything works. Quote

They should actually be paying me a dollar to take them. I'll try to fix them. Thanks Quote
Bassfink86 Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 the walmart by me has three of these bins and i look through them every time i go there and i end up walking out with at least five more things, but the prices aren't as low as they should be for what is considered a "bargain bin", the thing that throws me though is that a lot of the baits say saltwater on them, but looking at them there really isnt any difference except with the soft plastics that are obviously for saltwater Quote
SudburyBasser Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Darn, you cats are lucky. Nothing like these deals up here at our local Wal-Marts where I am...not that I could justify adding any more tackle to the collection...he says after buying four lures not one hour ago at a local outfitter. Quote
Super User new2BC4bass Posted July 13, 2013 Super User Posted July 13, 2013 Two Walmarts near me almost never have a sale unless something is damaged. Others have $30 off Bucoo rods, not mine. Others are having a big sale on reels, not mine. Others have a big discount on selected lures, not mine. I do better at Dick's. At least there I can find the occasion hard bait and soft bait on sale. They have a LH Citica for $99.99....that is what is in the display. Didn't ask if RH Citicas were included in the sale. I get much better prices at Ollies (for lures and line), but selection is limited. Quote
