CPBassFishing Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Well.......woops.....didn't mean to buy that much. I was going to get a few packs of the new recons but somehow 3 packs of craws, a pack of toads, and 2 packs of swimming caffiene shads jumped into my arms! I'm loving the new plastic SK is using for rage tail baits! Its a lot more durable than it used to be. I'll be a rageaholic like most of you guys at this rate. anyone use the recons yet? Thoughts? HeavyDluxe Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Nice pickups! I have, uh, Easter gifts (yeah, that's it!) arriving tomorrow and Monday, if tracking can be believed. Quote
Jake P Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Love the recon worms. I'll be tossing them at fork on Wednesday looking for a trophy. Nice buy! Quote
Super User Teal Posted March 30, 2013 Super User Posted March 30, 2013 I bought a few packs of the Recons and havent used them yet. I cant wait. Im pretty excited. Ive also bought some Rage Menace and Eeliminator. I have used the Menace as a jig trailer and havent caught a fish on it yet, but then again, the fishing conditions down here arent the best. Quote
Super User NorcalBassin Posted March 30, 2013 Super User Posted March 30, 2013 Just bought my first pack of Recons as well... they look pretty sweet. Quote
CPBassFishing Posted March 30, 2013 Author Posted March 30, 2013 Thanks for the feedback guys. I am a little worried about the baits ripping because they are so thin but I think the hookup ratio with a round gap will be very good for the same reason. Quote
Super User Teal Posted March 30, 2013 Super User Posted March 30, 2013 I wouldnt worry too much about that.. if they are good for one or two fish then thats ok as long as you feel like you are catching more fish WITH it than WITHOUT it. Love the action of the worm. It should be good to go! 1 Quote
Blues19 Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 I am worried they will be ripped up pretty quick as well. I like the Anaconda because they last pretty well for me. Its nice on long worms cause they can get shorter and still work. You can also use that as a senko if the tail gets ripped off. Those Recons look nice. I wanna get some menaces for jig trailers though. Almost picked up some shell crackers today Quote
Jake P Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 The menace is the ultimate swim jig trailer. I trail them behind a Siebert elite swim or a NSCB flip and swim. That's my go to grass technique!! 1 Quote
Quillback Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Got an email from BTD this morning, 20% Easter discount. Unfortunately they seem to be out of stock of the colors of stuff I might have ordered. Quote
