wnybassman Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Do you work lol Uh-Oh I know what happened to the last guy that asked that question. Quote
Super User clayton86 Posted June 8, 2013 Super User Posted June 8, 2013 Lol I know he works I think farmers have it harder then us roofers do in the rain. Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted July 3, 2013 Author Super User Posted July 3, 2013 Well, either June was terrible for you guys, or no one wants to play anymore. Heck, I didn't even have to enter my big ones to win the month for LM. Quote
Super User clayton86 Posted July 3, 2013 Super User Posted July 3, 2013 I only got out 3 times the whole month my biggest largemouth was maybe 2lbs Quote
rmcguirk Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 June was busy here, between too much work and my younger son's high school graduation. I still fished a fair amount, but it's been dink city for me, and not much volume, either. I don't know if I'm just bad or that the weather is playing havoc with the bass getting settled down after the spawn, but my "luck" has really stunk. I'm looking forward to a lot of fishing over the next several days, rain or shine, and I hope to get things turned around. Quote
Super User clayton86 Posted December 12, 2013 Super User Posted December 12, 2013 Wow we must have all forgot or just had a lousy year. I know I had a lousy year fishing Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted December 12, 2013 Author Super User Posted December 12, 2013 Wow we must have all forgot or just had a lousy year. I know I had a lousy year fishing Seemed like people stopped playing along..........I had a great year, but I didn't want to keep rubbing it in. LOL Quote
Super User Marty Posted December 13, 2013 Super User Posted December 13, 2013 I know I had a lousy year fishing You're not alone in that department. My year was lousier than lousy. Quote
Super User clayton86 Posted December 13, 2013 Super User Posted December 13, 2013 I started strong then bombed to catching minnows.....seriously fingerling bass Quote
rmcguirk Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 Awful year here too. Between working too much, getting kids off to college, some boat issues, and the only type of weather that keeps me off the water (high wind), I didn't fish nearly as much as I wanted. And, when i did go, it was tough fishing for me. I don't know if I was trying too many things, or what, but after spring was done, I don't think I put together a decent day all season. A few fish here or there, but no great numbers and few picture worthy bass. Got a few nice pike and my first tiger, but that's not what I was chasing. What's the old saying? Better luck next year. Super User J Francho Posted December 13, 2013 Super User Posted December 13, 2013 I'm not sure how to classify this year, other than it was a learning experience. I spent a great deal of time alternately blanking and hitting the mother lode, trying to figure out what happened to the Lake O. smallmouth. It was rewarding, and I caught some fish, both size and numbers. Still wondering where the dinks are, though. That scares me a little. A great deal of this effort happened with many other fisherman collaborating, and sharing info. Many thanks to the guys that took my calls/texts/PMs - they know who they are, lol. While we may not have completely broken the south shore open, we have a good starting point for locating summer fish. Quote
will83 Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 Too bad I don't have a scale. 5.3 weighed on conesus, just to help scale the other fish in pictures. pushing 6 lbs easy, location "honey hole" Easy 5 "honey hole" Caught a bunch of other 5lbers, this year was good!! Couple more 5 lb + tanks from this year. Quote
Fish and Kicks Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Is this gonna happen again this year Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted January 8, 2014 Author Super User Posted January 8, 2014 Is this gonna happen again this year IDK? Maybe. Guys (including myself) kind of quit playing along after a while. Quote
