I agree that some claims can seem "a bit off," but in this contest, the fish I have seen posted have definitely looked legit.  Heck, I caught a decent fish a couple of years ago and didn't have a scale.  I posted the picture for grins but told everyone it didn't count because I didn't have my scale.  I think the honor system has worked well in this contest since its ***.

Me too.

What won this friendly competition last year ?

I just went back and looked at last year's contest.  Shane J had a New Hampshire largemouth just over 86 percent of the state record, and of course Dwight had a smallie that was at 81.3 percent.

I'll give it a shot. My buddy caught a 7 1/2 lb smallie out of a lake we fish all the time last fall, only a 1/2 pound off the record for maine. so maybe I have a shot haha

i agree somewhat...Just because this is a classy site doesn't mean people don't stretch about the weights. There are enough threads and reports on this site to prove the point. I just think, what in the world could possibly be the downside of people including the weight on the scale to verify the fish? In every state vs state contest, there are a few that interesting. Last of all Dwight cheats. He keeps a livewell at home and feeds three fish that are in the 5, 6, and 7 pound range and takes them on field trips to the lake to take their picture and then takes them back home. A cheater i tell you.

Im in, however, maybe we should have the big fish pictured on the scale as well since some pictures and weights are a little fishy...

See rule 6.

Shimmy, you know I will be on top of any questionable post. It's for fun anyway. Last year, I caught a 80 percenter outside the time limits. It's all good. We know who the big fish guys are.

You will if you ...........

.........................

Well I guess I better get in too. I'll play.

There goes the neighborhood.

Lets make this multiple choice -

You will if  ~

   A   You fish a jerkbait

   B   You fish in the vicinity of  42° 7' 45" N / 80° 5' 7" W.

C   Stop wearing that Pink Shirt

:eyebrows:

A.  Biggest fish I have seen come on a jerkbait is 9.25,  that isnt enough to outdo Dwight as far as percentages go...

B.  Thats a long drive

C.  I am fishing in the pink shirt every chance I get.

Biggest Pink shirt fish this year....  And it wouldn't even be close at 45%(8.56/19.1)

Hopefully, this will be the year of the 101% NH largemouth! Three things are for certain... 1) If I post a fish, it will be caught on a Rage Tail 2) If I post a fish, it will be a new NH PB for me, and 3) It will be fun, as usual, seeing all the great catches from all over. Good luck, everybody!

Oh, and I'll throw this out there. I'll send 5 packs of any of the  Rage Tail baits, in any color, any combination to the winner of this thing, and make it 10 if the winning fish was caught on a Rage Tail bait. That goes for second place if I happen to take it!

Now if you could talk Mr Parks into a Rage Tail Jerkbait I would be all over it.

A pink shirt & a pair of pink pants might have put you at 90%  You just need to expand your wardrobe.

We're gonna get you to catch some of those monster smallies on a Pearl Rage Grub, or maybe a Menace.

Alright, I'll give this a whirl. Michigan's LMB record is only 11-15 small mouth is 9-4. Gotta be a 9lb smallie in St.Clair somewhere...

Just invested in some Rage Tail baits... Anacondas and thumpers, next are the craws and lobsters...
