I just wanted to start out with some background. I came home a very defeated baseball player early February. I had a rare elbow injury sidelining me for at least 4 weeks. The coach told me the py couldn't keep me due to the uncertainty of my injury. I was very saddened however my parents cheered me up by leaving the spring break plans up to me. I of course chose go fishing! After looking all across the us I decided on guntersville due to it being the #3 rated bass lake in the nation, it being under a 10 hr drive, and there being cities to stop in on the way. I posted a thread awhile back and the unanimous choice for a guide was Alex Davis (spinnerbaitkid.com). I came in with high hopes and aspirations of getting in the double digits while still keeping reasonable expectations. I was ecstatic to learn of to use the Alabama rig and to just especially be out on the water for such a beautiful day. The fishing was just ok today I caught 2 around a pound in a half. My dad caught 3 all at about a pound and a half. Our guide (Alex) caught a 2 pounder four 3-4 pounders and a huge 8 pounder! It was the biggest fish I had ever seen caught. It was safe to say I was a little disappointed in my outcome but what can u say it wasn't meant to be. It's not like we're fishing in a tank. I still had the day of a lifetime and will cherish the memory of the trip for the rest of my life. I hope to come back soon! To especially better my performance. If anyone is in need of a guide for guntersville I highly recommend Alex. He gave us a day full of laughs and lessons (not just about fishing :) ) and quite a few fish. Good luck to anyone fishing everywhere! Here's a few pics!

Glad you had a good trip.  Its always fun to fish a new spot, even if your not catching monsters.
