Texas bassman Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 I'm in between these two reels. Not sure which one to get though. I really like the long handle on the revo. What do yall think is the best way to go? I have a kvd tour cranking 7'10 medhvy rod I plan to pair it with. Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted March 27, 2013 Super User Posted March 27, 2013 First off ~ Welcome to BR ~ ! I Crank with these ~ can't go wrong with either one. A-Jay Quote
Blues19 Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 I have an older Winch and love it. I would go Winch Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted March 27, 2013 Super User Posted March 27, 2013 OK - So I knew the Quanum reel wouldn't get any love at all - but the 200D is a beast. A-Jay Quote
Texas bassman Posted March 27, 2013 Author Posted March 27, 2013 Thanks guys I guess I'm going with the winch. Quote
Texas bassman Posted March 27, 2013 Author Posted March 27, 2013 I like the way the quantum looks though Quote
OkeechobeeAngler Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 Either one will be fine. Go with whatever feels best. Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted March 27, 2013 Super User Posted March 27, 2013 I like the way the quantum looks though You could always fish these reels for a week by using TW's demo program. Nothing like try before you buy. A-Jay 1 Quote
bass1980 Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 ^^^but must have order history with them and must have CC to charge it on. If it comes back with no damage no charge. I am doing this next month I hope. Quote

Blues19 Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Now that the Winch is Black it should look pretty Rad with the Black KVD crankin rod too Quote
Doubled Over Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 I have a winch and like it, but I but I don't use it a lot. Quote
rubba bubba Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 I didn't want to drop the $$ for a Winch as I don't crank a huge amount so I went with the 4.7:1 Pro Qualifier (actually 2). I have other Revo reels - S's and STX's, I just didn't want to spend the premium they're charging for the Winch. Quote
Texas bassman Posted April 2, 2013 Author Posted April 2, 2013 YEA I ORDERED MY REVO WINCH FROM BASSPRO ONLINE SO I CAN DO THE 6 PAY THING. I GOT SOME OTHER CRANKBAITS TOO. IMA SPOOL IT UP WITH 14LB FLUOROCARBON AND USE IT FOR MY 6XDS 10XDS AND OTHER DEEP DIVERS! ANYWAYS CAUGHT THIS BABY IN A HALF FROZEN POND ON A KVD 1.5 BPS 7'6 CRANKING STICK AND JOHNNY MORRIS SIGNATURE SERIES REEL. HOW MUCH YALL THINK IT WEIGHS? IM SAYING 4-4.5LBS. HEAVIEST BIGGEST BASS IVE CAUGHT IN NORTHERN ILLINOIS SO FAR. ONLY BEEN FISHING SINCE LAST JUNE. BUT I LOVE IT NOW! Quote
