Super User skunked_again Posted March 27, 2013 Super User Posted March 27, 2013 Getting ready to sell my TD-Z and want to make sure it's as smooth as possible. My Ito feels much smoother. Ideas? Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 The AR in the Daiwas is press-fit and part of the side plate. This not withstanding, as long as it's clean and properly lubed along with the rest of the reel, smoothness should not be a problem. Quote
papajoe222 Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 This is the only bearing that I grease on my Daiwas. It really makes a difference in how smooth the reel cranks, even if it isn't an improvement to the reel. I have an Exceller that I give to my kid to use for deep cranking and he can't believe how smooth it is. Boca Bearings and a little polishing of the gears and the greased AR bearing and it's as smooth feeling as my Sol Quote
