Needs Sponsors

Hey i'm 13 and in the 7th grade i'm a very good bass fisherman but i need sponsors to get on my feet. The only problem is i don't have a boat and i havn't been in any tournaments but i fish in my neighborhood pond and catch a lot of big fish. I can help out because i am a very good advertiser and i would get you a lot of buisness.  I would really appreciate any sponsores i could get. thanks

I would start with proper grammar, a resume, and finding a local club... Just "getting" sponsors doesn't really happen.

i guess I'm not one to talk but i wouldn't tittle your thing "Needs Sponsors". Sounds like your begging it trying to push your self. A title like "My Resume" might be better or looking for "sponsors". Also no very detailed. Also it doesn't matter if you catch huge fish. You need stuff that would help them market they product so they make money. I would wait till you are high school level and have your own ride or make sure you have parents that can drive you all the time.

I'll be honest, this does not tell us very much. I have got ponds loaded with bass that makes my little brother who's ten look like an Elite Pro. If your going to pursue this, you need to fish larger and more heavily pressured bodies of water to improve your skills and knowledge, and most importantly, network. Its not necessarily what you know, it is who you know, but it does help when you know what your doing. Otherwise, specificity helps, like how are you going to advertise and how you going to improve their business. FYI smaller local companies are more likely to partner with you than larger ones. Also, you do not need sponsorship to fish or "get on your feet", find a niche in your community and work to achieve your goals.

How in the world would you expect to get a sponsor without a boat or car? You don't fish tournaments but can catch fish in a pond, how does this promote or sell a companies product?   A company does not just give product or money away because they have to much of it, they only sponsor people that can make them money.

OP is a product of B.A.S.S. marketing. Nothing  wrong with that OP. We all want to be champions.  My advice to you is first and foremost, worry about your education. Second, check out your local bass fishing clubs, and local fishing forums to get started.Last, check with your local highschool about their participation in bass fishing. If they are not involved now, if you show interest, maybe they can get the ball rolling by the time you are a student.

hmmm... Well you have to admire your goals of being a "pro", but I agree with the others. No boat, no truck, no tournament experiance. These are probabily not good recipies for success in getting a sponser. That being said I and many others on this site have wanted to be professional fisherman since we were very young also. I sugest you give it time, grow your skills, get a good education, and have a great backup plan just incase fishing for a living doesnt work out. Good Luck.
