MichiganFishing1997 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Ok, so i have a huge giftcard for amazon.com, and want to get some my first spool of Yo Zuri Hybrid. But they only offer the nornal stuff, not the ultra soft. Can i get away with regular Yo Zuri in #6 on my spinning gear, or should i wait and get the ultra soft. Thanks. Quote
kylek Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Yes the original works just fine. I have the 6lb on my spinning rod right now. Quote
MichiganFishing1997 Posted March 25, 2013 Author Posted March 25, 2013 No issue with memory or coiling? Quote
SoCalFisher Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Isn't the soft worse then the original? At least that is what I've heard. Quote
MichiganFishing1997 Posted March 25, 2013 Author Posted March 25, 2013 I dont know, thats why im asking lol. I have read alot about the line, just now how the difference is between the two on spinning gear. Quote
kylek Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 No issue with memory or coiling? I have not had any issues with this. Treat it with some line conditioner and it gets even better. Quote
MichiganFishing1997 Posted March 25, 2013 Author Posted March 25, 2013 I dont have any line conditioner, didnt know if it was worth buying or not. Quote
kylek Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Right now I use Real Magic and it does a pretty good job, but plan on picking up the KVD line and lure conditioner next time I hit BPS. Quote

Super User 00 mod Posted March 26, 2013 Super User Posted March 26, 2013 I have used 6lb hybrid original treated with KVD line and lure for the past couple of years on my spinning rods, and love it. Jeff Quote

Blues19 Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 I use 8 lb on my spinning reel, just the regular hybrid, not the soft Quote
QUIENYO Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 I have 6# on two of my spinning set ups and it handles fine. I don't use any line conditioner and have had zero issues with coiling or memory. Pull the trigger and get some. Quote
MichiganFishing1997 Posted March 26, 2013 Author Posted March 26, 2013 Thanks a lot guys! Ordered it yesterday. Cant wait, I have heard so many good things about it. Il spool it up on my sahara, sienna, and my Girlfriends new rod I just ordered. Quote
JigMe Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 you are going to need KVD line conditioner, I have hybrid on 6lb and 8lb. It is a good line, but need to manage the line twist. Quote
thehooligan Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 Make sure you have a 2500 size reel, i tried the 6lb hybrid on my 1000 size reels and it was non stop coils and memory. I got rid of that stuff asap and went back to braid with flouro leaders. I did pick up a spool of 8lb supersoft im going to try on my core for the hell of it... Quote
