Uncle Manny Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 With so many colors out there, what would be your one and only favorite color to use during the spring time? Rich Quote
tholmes Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Shad and bluegill. Oops, I guess you said color, as in one. Shad. Tom Quote
I need a new screen name 4 Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 I think it's called clown? With the red-ish head and neon yellow body. I like that it's such an "off" color, and it's easy to see underwater (from a fisherman's perspective) in low light conditions. Quote
bass or bass ? Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 I use shad, baby bass, and bluegill. Quote
Super User RoLo Posted April 30, 2010 Super User Posted April 30, 2010 Fundamentally speaking, any light-colored swimbait is fine during "bright light" conditions (clear water, bright sunny day and shallow water). Opt for a dark color during poor lighting conditions (murky water, overcast day, deep water), and in moderate lighting it's normally best to go with middling colors like watermelon. Overthinking color only plays into the hands of window-dressing, which catches more fishermen than fish. It's better to stay focused on the vital criteria such as lure placement, running depth, running speed and lure size. Roger Quote
