LWD Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Hey now Bassresource, Yesterday I was fishing I hooked into a bass after boating it I inspected my crankbait. Two points off the front treble broke off somehow. So I went home and put a new treble on there, but it is bigger than the rear treble on the crankbait. I just am concerned about there being two different size trebles on the crankbait, will it perform the same? etc. have a good one. Quote
JeziHogg Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 I think they're size 4, and when it comes to KVDs I change out the hooks as soon as I buy them, either with KVD Mustads or Owner 41's, but I don't think it will make that much of a difference in performance. Quote
The Rooster Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 It might make a slight difference in how buoyant it is, like when you hit an underwater log and wait a second for the bait to float up again, it might not rise as fast if the hook you put on is larger, and therefore heavier. Quote
