i had two terminator spinnerbaits that i got for about 7 bucks each. caught about 5 fish on one and the next cast the gold oklahoma blade flies off. down goes number one spinnerbait. i put on a backup(same model) catch 4 or 5 fish then the bar that connects the jig to the blades just snaps off. the blades go one way and i reel in the jig half. can i return these two terminators? has anyone done that . i cant find a customer service number for terminator. any help would be great.  thanks in advance

Had the same things happen to me - blades fall off and wire breaks at R-bend. This is why I stopped using Terminators several years back. When I contacted Terminator about the blades I was told that the split rings were not the right size so eventually the blade would work its way off. If that's the reason why yours came off I can't believe they still haven't fixed the issue. At least they replaced the ones that broke as well as provided me with replacement blades and several different sizes of split rings to try.

When they don't have issues they have been one of the most successful spinnerbaits for me. Sucks that the quality has declined over the years. I purchased some a couple years back and noticed that the paint jobs were overly bright and sloppy. I believe manufacturing location has moved over the years which is often a bad sign.

I've had blades fly off of quite a few spinnerbaits from different brands, including Terminators.  Never had one break, though.

Where did you buy them..? Call the retailer and explain what happened..also, do you have your reciept..?

I have bunches of spinnerbaits from several different companies and all of the Terminators I've bought have had extremely crappy split rings. A couple of them didn't even look like split rings, they were more like flimsy little wire loops with only about 30% overlap.

I no longer buy Terminator spinnerbaits. They're no more productive than my Stanley spinnerbaits, and just aren't built well enough to justify their price.

I thought I was the only one!  I swore by the terminator and it's bendable wire.  Now I swear at the terminator and don't use it anymore.  I sure did like the amount of fish I was catching without the "v" bending.  Boy that was great!  HOWEVER, the first time my spinnerbait "blew up" I thought it was cool and a "freak" thing.  After the third time, I don't think it's cool anymore and I don't fish the terminator anymore.  Fishing is expensive the way it is, and throwing 7 bucks a pop is not for me.  Bummer.  Has anyone out there found a "comparable" spinnerbait for wire strength and flexibility?  Fish on.  John.

I started having that issue with them a few years ago. I went to War Eagle and never looked back,

I had a solid 4 pound fish snap one in a tourney and it cost me about $400, so needless to say, I'm no longer a big fan of Terminator spinnerbaits.

I remember year's ago I bought a terminator, "jimmy houston" recommended one :) first cast the blade went one way and the rest another >:D that was the last one I bought ;D been using War Eagle's ever since, and not a problem ;) I guess the "pro's" will use about anything to make a buck lol!!
