Has Anyone Claimed Their "free" Spool Of Tuf-Line?

I've been seeing a banner at the top for a free spool of Tuf-line braid.

 

Has anyone followed through? 100 yards for $4.99 sounds good. 6-8 weeks for delivery.

Got mine, but it is too cold for this old guy to think about using it for a few more weeks.  Look through the last few pages on this forum, and you will find at least 2 threads reviewing this line.  All reviews agree the line is looking pretty good.

I got mine a few weeks after I ordered. It's very slick and has a type of coating or casing on/in it. I haven't used it much but it's worth trying. It is thicker in diameter than a lot of braided line so take that into consideration.

I got mine in a week and have fished it about 3 trips so far. It is much quieter than Power Pro and seems to cast well. It does have some memory but its worth the $4.99.

FAIK it is suppose to be one spool per address.  However, can't hurt to try.  I ordered the 12# for my daughter and had it sent to her place, but paid with same card I paid for mine (I got the 20#).  Mine took about 3 weeks to be delivered.  Going on 2 weeks for the line being shipped to my daughter & nothing delivered yet.

I've been using the 20 and 12lb both on spinning gear for about 2 weeks.  I'm using it only for a couple of different situations and it has performed fine so far.

Mine should be coming in any day.  I can not wait.  Temps are to get better this week and hopefully the snow is gone.  If I get it this week I'll test it out this weekend.

I finally spooled my 12lb test on one of my unused Stradic 1000FI spools. Took it out this afternoon for some casting and testing.

 

Guys, I have to be honest, and I'm hesitant to write this given all the praise so far.  I am not all that impressed with line. I know this may sound sacrilegious  but it feels like Fireline to me, lays poorly on the spool. Yes, I know how to spool new line on my reel. I put on a heavy weight, cast it out and tightly wound it back. A little better, but not much. Never experienced this with regular PP. Perhaps if I downsized to 10lb it would be better. Of course I'm used to 10lb PP which is 2lb diameter, so that could be playing part here.

 

A positive is that it is very quiet...but that's the only one I've found so far.

 

I'll give it more time, but so far, I'm a little bummed I don't like it more. I really want to.

To be fair I don't think a review can be given on any product with minimal amount of use, except if one had a nightmare.  I've been using 2 sizes almost everyday for the last few weeks, I agree with Darren that it looks to be not spooled uneven on the reel, but it functions just fine.  I have quite a bit of dust settled on this line experiment, I know pretty much where I stand on it.  I'm not going to praise or condemn, I'm just an amateur.

Think of it in terms of replacing monofilament or copolymer. The line is slick.
