BaconStealer303 Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Next week is our spring break here in northern illinois. Projected Highs are low 40's, a thin layer of ice from the last couple days has pretty much melted. I got a smallie off a dripshot last weekend, but looking to kayak fish in a little bigger lake. Looking for largemouth, any suggestions? We were gonna stick to dropshots but any tips would be great Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted March 22, 2013 Super User Posted March 22, 2013 Cold water equals very challenging fishing and deeper waters to me. Drop shot is a good approach. Small finesse baits (dream shot, finesse worms, 3" senkos) should suffice for a bite or 2. Also if you have some type of attractant use it. Megastrike is what I use. Quote

This definitely works well in colder waters. Quote
