Super User Jig Man Posted March 21, 2013 Super User Posted March 21, 2013 I have more A rigs than I need but I like to have a variety of baits and colors to see what is working best in a given situation. I'm tired of all the tangles with the hooks when two or more of them get together in the box. Anyone got a good system for keeping them apart? Quote
Super User slonezp Posted March 21, 2013 Super User Posted March 21, 2013 I put them indidualy in a 3700 box with a plastic wire tie wrapped around the arms. Use a side cutter, which you should have for cutting hooks, to cut the wire tie. I'll cut portions of the permanent dividers out for a custom fit. I believe I saw tubes at Cabelas designed to slide the a-rig into. Quote
Lip 'em! Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 I have a box in my bag specifically made to store up to 4 alabama rigs. It works great you should check into it. I think plano makes it. Quote
moguy1973 Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 I saw a cover they are making for them at Bass Pro the other day. Just a pouch it fits in and keeps everything from tangling. Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted March 21, 2013 Super User Posted March 21, 2013 BPS sells a Plano box designed specifically for A-rigs. Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted March 21, 2013 Author Super User Posted March 21, 2013 Thanks a bunch guys. That gives me some ideas for a remodle on a couple of old 3700 boxes that are laying around. Quote
Hanover_Yakker Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 Another option if you are keeping one tied on to the rod and stowing it in your boat is to take a 20oz plastic water/soda bottle. Cut the bottom off, make a cut running the length of the bottle and through the neck. You can use a lighter to smooth the edges if you need to. Now just thread the line throught the opening and pull the A-ring semi-taught through the bottle. Quote
