5 Dollar Fishing Game Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 Now these may be really old and were introduced years ago, but they are new to me. A friend of mine gave me a pack of Zoom Merthiolate Worms. They are BRIGHT! I have not used them yet. Anyone had good luck with these? Also what's the best way to fish something this bright? Clear or dark water? Etc. Thanks! Joe Quote
jhoffman Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 I would fish those on bass beds so you can see when they vanish 1 Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted March 21, 2013 Super User Posted March 21, 2013 It is a popular color for pre-spawn and spawn, just like Bubble Gum is. Water color makes no difference. Quote
5 Dollar Fishing Game Posted March 21, 2013 Author Posted March 21, 2013 In that case guys they need to drown ASAP here in NC. Spawn is upon us. :-) Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted March 21, 2013 Super User Posted March 21, 2013 In that case guys they need to drown ASAP here in NC. Spawn is upon us. :-) Good to hear. In PA, snow is upon us. LOL 2 Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted March 21, 2013 Super User Posted March 21, 2013 That is actually a standard color here on Clarks Hill Lake. We fish them weightless all summer long. Quote
5 Dollar Fishing Game Posted March 21, 2013 Author Posted March 21, 2013 Can I cut one in half and use it as a jig trailer? Quote
PondBoss Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Love that color, cuz no one uses it where I fish. It's something the fish have never seen before and is a cold blooded killer. I guess people tend to think of it being more of a novelty color, but it's legit all the way. Quote
BassinB Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Can I cut one in half and use it as a jig trailer? NO!!!!!!!!!! Quote
5 Dollar Fishing Game Posted March 22, 2013 Author Posted March 22, 2013 Why is it not a good idea to use that for a trailer? Quote
BassinB Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 I was just joking. you can do whatever you want, new techniques are developed all the time because people try things that are different and weird. go ahead put it on a jig, it could look cool. Quote
5 Dollar Fishing Game Posted March 23, 2013 Author Posted March 23, 2013 Lol. I was like, "that's a good idea". :-) Quote
