I'm very impressed with this bait, did very well yesterday fishing it very aggressively with the occasional brief pause. This shined fishing it over shallow water weeds, similiar to a Lucky Craft Flash Minnow but with a more frantic action. It also cast like a rocket, I only have one but I have a feeling I'll be getting a few more 8-)

I agree. I wish the price would come down a bit, because I would love to add a couple of these to my box. I might give one a shot and see what happens from there.

I admit it's a little pricey compared to other Rapala baits however it's in line with japanese baits like Lucky Craft, Ima, Jackall etc. I tried about 6 other jerkbaits yesterday with mediocre results, for some reason this one was the preferred bait on this outing on a heavily fished small 300 acre lake. That said it's probably not better than say an X rap however it's different enough to find a spot in my tacklebox though I can understand why some would be reluctant to pay a premium price.

It is a little scary for me to buy an $18 bait and head out to fish any of my local lakes here. They all hold Pike, and they seem to want to hit anything that crosses their path here. I lost a few baits to them last year, or I'm assuming they were pike. I did land a good number of them though, as well.

I can just imagine it now. I'll throw it out, get a hit and set the hook. I'll see a pike come up, it will fight me one last time by the boat, my line will snap, and I'll sit down a weep quietly to myself for a few minutes. ;)

I live and fish in SW Michigan and I know what you mean about those Northerns, I have certain lakes where I use mostly 5$ baits because there are a lot of them in there. That said I don't lose very many baits annually and for the occasional one I lose it's either take a chance and get more action out of the bait or use a wire leader which will reduce your catch rate with most baits.

Sound advice from Primus.  Attach a leader and throw the bait of your choosing.  Also, if you are concerned about losing action, fluorocarbon will serve you well as a leader.  Tie on a couple feet of fluoro in an appropriate test to your main line and enjoy.

I really want to try one of these lures.  Already have a couple spots in mind.
