only 2 goals for me:

1) break my PB (5 pounds and a half from last year)

2) begin using jigs (i began fishing with cranks, then used sipnnerbaits, now i have been catching them on worms, so i think the next logical progression would be to tie on a jig)

Well first off I would like to get my first Bass Boat. 2nd. I would like to be in the top 5 multiple times in tournaments this summer. 3rd. Try new techniques this summer and throw more variety of baits.

Qualify for the top 6 tournament at the end of the year in my club.  Try to be more complete eg. fishing out of my comfort zone and learning and using other techniques.

Can't go wrong with anyone's answer. A goal is just that. I'd love to hit that elusive double digit bass. good luck to all.

Now that I'm retired I plan on a pain staking documentation of my 10 local waters' bottoms - where the breaklines are, weed bed edges, bottom hardness changes, the extent of humps and points (rather than guessing) and seasonal changes in bass position relative to structure. How many of you really know what's down there or just stick to fishing the shallows which a majority of anglers pound?

I bought some display rakes from a business going under and have started putting individual soft plastic lures, each in its own bag on display so I don't forget to try them and learn each potential.

There are lures going back fifteen or more years that according to my log book did fine on different outings but were stored to make room for the latest lure-of-the-day. My own creations are at the top of the rack. When time permits, all lures should be given another chance unless they were defective or inferior to lures of similar design.

I've gotten away from casting crankbaits, spinnerbaits, topwater plugs, spoons with trailers, spinner-worms and in-line spinners. Time to get them out of storage and get serious.

My personal goals are to get a new motor on my Ranger. Fish some Local tournements, gain some confidence. I'd like to fish all of my local waters just not my favorite one. Go exploring learn new tactics. More than anything...have fun!

I want to demolish my PB. I was just starting to get into fishing last year and then the colder days came and I was inside. This year I want to beat my PB and get better at finesse/soft baits.

Not have anything break, blow up, sink, keep myself and my gear out of the lake, and keep as much money in my pocket as possible.

Learn how to fish from a boat (just got 14ft aluminum)

Become skilled with my baitcaster

Put what i read here and Bill Murphy's book to use. Know what lure to use and use less guessing. "well i think this might work"

Jig it up

My primary goals are the same every year- qualify for state, qualify for regionals, and ultimately, qualify for the Classic. Everything else I do on the water is in support of those goals.

I want to become a better jig fisherman, if I can find the patience.

But I also want to go catching, not just fishing.

Want to do better in areas that I don't have much luck in.

And what ww2farmer said.

1. Catch a bass

2. Learn how to fish every type of bait

3. Learn how to locate bass

4. Be confident in my gear and my ability to fish

5. Have fun and enjoy the fishing experience

Catch a DD on a DD (22). Had a good start to the year with 2 wins and a couple of top 5 finishes so I would really like getting a PB deep cranking as I cosider this my main weakness.

My goals are to become more familiar with drop shoting and the Carolina rig, take steps to join a local bass club to prepare for tournaments, and a new pb wouldn't hurt...
