TrapperJ Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 After a day of some hard work, got up early at 7:30 to go get gypsum with the old man to throw in a couple of his farm ponds to help clear them up after re-shaping and being muddy. That took until Noon, shoveling it and throwing it into two good sized ponds. Then finally hooked up to that new boat and get her to Tenkiller i think we finally got in some water sometime after 3pm, ran up and down the lake to get that first hour of break in over with. Barely got to fish any since it was getting late, the wife got a nibble and nothing for me, here are some pics. Baby girl is ready to go fishing but needs to grow a little more! Quote
Super User Darren. Posted March 18, 2013 Super User Posted March 18, 2013 Nice! Looks like a lot of fun. Many happy catches from her deck. Quote
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted March 18, 2013 Super User Posted March 18, 2013 Looks like all were having a great time. Best of luck with her, and may you enjoy many years of catching bass from her. Quote
Super User slonezp Posted March 18, 2013 Super User Posted March 18, 2013 I'm jealous. Snow and freezing rain today Quote
RyneB Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 im also jealous. I was wanting to get the boat out before i head down south april 19 for a 4 day trip. But its not looking good. We got rain, snow, and now 30+ mph winds. On this day last year it was 76 degrees, it was 30 today. Illinois weather isnt fun. Quote
jhoffman Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Add another to the jealousy pool. I was supposed to fish a tournament sunday. We have 4" of new snow and theyre calling for nightime lows of 18 this week. The water in the cove last week was 34 per a report of a person on this board. I just dont see the productivity at this point in dropping $50, driving at 4am and fishing in the freezing cold. Quote
TrapperJ Posted March 19, 2013 Author Posted March 19, 2013 thanks I'm itching to take it back out for a good full day of fishing! Agree i'd save my money too, someone always finds them, but i dont think i want to find them that bad when snow is on the ground and that low of temps. Quote
BassinB Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Nice man, best wishes with that rig. Add another to the jealousy pool. I was supposed to fish a tournament sunday. I just dont see the productivity at this point in dropping $50, driving at 4am and fishing in the freezing cold. I'm jealous, you have open water and you aren't taking advantage! haha I've passed on some nasty tournaments in the fall, but thats after fishing all summer. This time of year I'm itchin so bad I'll dump the boat in at any open puddle and take my chances. With those conditions its gonna be tough for everyone. Quote
Sun Fish Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Very nice boat TrapperJ, I was strongly considering buying one of those but decided to go with another used glass boat instead. I hope she treats ya well and catches ya a plenty. Please let me know your opinion on it's stability when fishing, especially with a partner on the back deck.Awee common guys, I've been out 4 times already here in the North East PA and plan to go out on my day off tomorrow, Thurs/Fri before work Saturday/Sunday after work with the long range looking even more promising for warmer weather Don't travel far if a small electric only lake is an option for you, the fish are still biting in the cold, just takes time, patience and most importantly dressing like your going skiing. 1 Quote
