Sbennett9 Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 Tell me there are other people on here that have success with the space monkey lures by rage tail. I have heard they have been discontinued and that is absolutely devastating because I catch a ton of fish on them! Anyone have the kind of luck I do with them? And are they really discontinued? Quote
flippin and pitchin Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 TW has a full stock of all the colors. Stock up. Decent bait. Quote
JellyMan Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 What!!!!!?? I did not hear about this. Must buy 20 packs. 1 Quote
Sbennett9 Posted March 18, 2013 Author Posted March 18, 2013 Its very possible that they haven't been discontinued. It could be certain colors or something but I heard it from a couple people and both the Gander and Dicks near me stopped selling them. It would be a crying shame, I really do hope that My information is false. Quote
Jake P Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 I'm sure some of the rage tail guys will be along shortly to answer. I'm very curious. I highly doubt it though as every rage tail bait is a big seller. Quote
JellyMan Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 Maybe Strike king is doing a little dirty work. Spreading false rumors in order to create sales. Seems like I've heard this story before... But seriously, I sure hope not. I always love to have a few bags of monkeys on hand. They are definitely on my "producers" list. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted March 18, 2013 Super User Posted March 18, 2013 No, the Space Monkey has not been discontinued. In fact, it's going to be available in new colors here real soon. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted March 18, 2013 BassResource.com Administrator Posted March 18, 2013 Love me some Space Monkeys! They're terrific baits. Very versatile, and bass-catching machines! Quote
Super User J Francho Posted March 18, 2013 Super User Posted March 18, 2013 Gander and Dick's do that all the time. They say they are "discontinued" items, while in reality, they've stopped carrying them for whatever reason. Years ago, I was panic stricken by the Gander fishing department manager informing me that P-Line CXX was being discontinued, and was on clearance. I found that later to be untrue, they simply updated their packaging. Needless to say, I bought them out, lol. Quote
AGOSS Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 Yea i love my monkeys!! i was scared for a sec!! Quote

Sbennett9 Posted March 19, 2013 Author Posted March 19, 2013 What's everyone's favorite way to fish the space monkey? I have only ever fished in texas rigged but apparently its a pretty versatile bait? Quote
Super User J Francho Posted March 19, 2013 Super User Posted March 19, 2013 Megastrike Shake2 head, Rage Rigged on a weighted swimbait hook, unweighted as a subtle toad style buzzer… 1 Quote
