Calcutta TE 101GT

Great reel! I use the Calcutta reels more than the rest of my reels, you made a good choice.

Thanks! I love the Calcutta/Conquest line, as well.

Just got back from my Wally with some clearance items. 2 jerk baits, 2 top water jerk baits, 2 poppers, and 3 crank baits. All the YUM products were nothing of interest to me. I would rather buy my producing baits and keep all the "excess" out of my life.

Oh and not on sale, I got a KVD Sexy Frog, new Berkley multi tool, and a Berkley digital scale.

Pretty good for $48 bucks!

Usually when I shop it's at BPS and I cant get out of there with less than $75+ on the register total. I try tho.

Well, despite wanting to not jump in with both feet, I was at BPS looking around and succumbed to a great deal. I got a BPS Pro Qualifier BC reel and a Johnny Morris Carbonlite 7' med/fast casting rod. But I'm really excited because this balance and light weight is awesome. Plus, I got a smoking deal on it.

I don't have any BPS reels, but I do have their carbonlite rods the older cork versions and the new black handles, and for the money I love these rods. Never had any break and never had any issues with them. You will like the rod.

Though not "today", I, within the last couple weeks bought a new 6'3" Avid MLXF spinning rod (love), and a Lexa 2000SH spinning reel (love).

First bass of season (3 lbs) came off this set. Always nice to break in a new combo with the first fish of the season.

Also got a spool of 4lb Power Pro micro braid, and a spool of Seaguar Red Label 4lb fluorocarbon. Now I need to sell or trade one of my extra 2500 sized spinning reels for a 1000 size.

I swear I only went to Canadian Tire to buy something for the house and then I walked by the fishing department. I escaped only buying some swim baits that bass and pickerel absolutely devour.

Picked up some Yum Money Frogs for $1.50 @ Walmart

A few days ago I ordered some Pro Qualifier rain bibs (on sale) to go along with the Pro Qualifier rain jacket that was purchased earlier.  Got the jacket at the BPS catalog outlet at a great price a few months ago when traveling through the Springfield area.

Well AGOSS your right in my old neighborhood. I bet your a Viking as well. I used to fish out there in the evening when I lived in Saddle Brook Estates off Ofallon rd. in spite of the crowd you can catch nice bass there with a Lot of determination. My son still goes over there sometimes in the evening after work. I now live on LOZ.
