Brian6428 Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 I was at Walmart and went back to the fishing section and bought a white 3/8 oz rooster tail inline spinner. I've heard they are good and hope to have some luck with it! Quote

Bass Junkie Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Shimano Cardiff 100A. For the price I got it for, I couldn't pass it up. I'll probably just stick it on an extra rod and keep a squarebill tied on, but it was a fun way to keep the tackle monkey at bay. It looks like it's getting Boca's and Carbontex, and possibly some other mods, so we'll see how she does Quote
PondHunter Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Nothing yet, but Storm Kickin' Minnow's are on the short list. Quote
TNBassin' Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 I bought a gen 3 Revo SX, a 7" MH Vendetta, 3 packs of Yum soft plastics, and 3 sets of reel grips. Oh, and a box of Gobstoppers. Quote
SudburyBasser Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Not technically tackle or gear but after watching Force on Force on WFN I bought a neck gator/buff from Army Bass Anglers. Money goes to a good cause so what the heck. That said, called in sick today and a BPS catalogue came in the mail. Sick enough that even $5 shipping to Canada with no minimum order couldn't entice me... Quote
Super User slonezp Posted March 20, 2013 Super User Posted March 20, 2013 Today I bought a gen 3 Revo STX and a Fenwick HMG 7'0 rod along with a handful of Plano boxes. Yesterday I got a small package from TW with terminal tackle, mop jigs, chatterbaits, and zipperworms. Bought a 7'6" HMG flipping stick and Ardent F500 a couple weeks ago along with a Fenwick spinning rod(the name escapes me right now). Spent today organizing my last 3 TW orders in those Plano boxes. Still have a couple more things to get for the boat yet. Quote

RyneB Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 how do you work the UV speed worm? I have a pack of black/blue I got a few years ago and have yet to try them Quote

JellyMan Posted March 22, 2013 Author Posted March 22, 2013 how do you work the UV speed worm? I have a pack of black/blue I got a few years ago and have yet to try them I either swim them or use a technique called "feathering". I cast it out toward the bank, cover, weed line, ect..., let it fall a few seconds, pull the rod tip up in a smooth motion "not a twitch or a jerk", reel in slack and let it fall, pull rod tip up smooth, reel in slack let it fall, all the way to the boat. Works wonders from shore and from the boat. In reality, you can fish the speed worm in a million different ways but those two presentations get me bit like crazy. Ive caught a 7 1/2lber on the 6" speed worm. Try the larger one for those hogs. Make sure it's the Ultra Vibe Speed Worm. This worm has been a deadly secret for me when everybody is throwing brush hogs, trick worms, and lizards. Everybody is using this or that but I get the numbers on this worm every time. Check this out too... http://blog.***.com/blog/bid/81054/Four-Ways-to-Fish-a-Zoom-Ultravibe-Speed-Worm Quote
SudburyBasser Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Slim day. Bought a pile of 4/0 and 5/0 hooks as I was running low. Also bought an aerator for a live well I'm building for my brother-in-law's boat. Make work project until bass opens up in a few months. Quote
