senkoking Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 Are scents on senkos any good if so which ones? Also which color is your fav.? Quote
Super User Hammer 4 Posted April 21, 2010 Super User Posted April 21, 2010 I apply Megastrike on mine..adds scent, and seems to keep the baits soft. Quote
Chaz Hickcox Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 I apply Megastrike on mine..adds scent, and seems to keep the baits soft. I use Megastrike, my partner uses Gulp! Garlic Craw. The weird thing is that one may work better than others in different conditions. Sometimes Megastrike can't be beat. Other times we've found that Megastrike is almost a repellant while the Gulp! works. If you're fishing alone I would say bring both and like colors and presentations figure out what mood the fish are in. Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted April 21, 2010 Super User Posted April 21, 2010 x2 For the Megastrike Colors? Heck, I use a bunch of them. Hard to go wrong with watermelon with black flake though. Quote
Super User Crestliner2008 Posted April 22, 2010 Super User Posted April 22, 2010 I usually squeeze a bit into a bag of Senkos and roll them around in it. Megastrike always! Quote

bassman018 Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 funny you ask, I don't use scents, but just restocked my senkos, Bought a purple flake, watermelon, a bluish flake, and this red color with glitter that I havn't seen before. I use 3-4-5 inch senkos, mainly 4 inch though. Quote
BassnMan Mike Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 I have friends that swear by mega strike, myself, I have tried and tried it but couldnt get bit on the stuff so I gave it away and went back to the 2 scents that have always worked for me, Pro Cure and Hot Sauce. Oh yeah, Watermelon/Black Flake Quote
Micropterus salmoides Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Haven't used MegaStrike on Senkos, though it's the scent I use on jigs, swimbaits. As far as colors... Watermelon Bk Flk, Green Pumpkin Bk Flk, June Bug. Quote
chrisbcrankin Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Add a few drops of KicknBass Garlic scent and let em soak overnight. Throw em the next day and hold on. My strike percentage went up 300% Quote
midnighthrasher Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 I use the Yamamoto Crawfish scent made by Megastrike. Quote
chromedog Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 I put Megastrike on anything and everything soft plastic. If nothing else, I have confidence that it is masking my scent on the lure from handling. Quote
bassin is addicting Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 I usually squeeze a bit into a bag of Senkos and roll them around in it. Megastrike always! X2 or 3 Quote

Super User iceintheveins Posted April 23, 2010 Super User Posted April 23, 2010 I will be trying some mega strike. Does it melt and get really runny in hot temperatures? Quote
Micropterus salmoides Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 I will be trying some mega strike. Does it melt and get really runny in hot temperatures? Yes, but that makes it much easier to apply. My only gripe about using MegaStrike is applying it when it's cold out. Quote
