Hi everyone, my name is Kevin I been fishing for 4 years now. I have around 1200 fishing magazines 200 DVDs, 50 VHS and 300 plus fishing books that I been studying for the past three years. I have over 700 handwritten pages of journals (cover, structure, biology, seasons, weather, etc). I study one lake a month and one fishing topic a month. Every Bassmaster, Bassin, FLW and In Fisherman article/tournament I have filed. It took me three months to do. And it is well worth it. I keep all the journals in my gun cabinet. My goals are big maybe to big to mention. But I believe a well designed strategy, belief and activity will produce results.

I have signed up for my first four tournament in September and October. My months and weeks are all planned out and the daily discipline is there. If any one is looking to sell there old maps or books please let me know. Thanks

We've only fished beltzville from shore and had good results with decent sized bluegill and perch, there's nice bass up there but you'll have to ask around since I don't boat fish

Kev, you have done something all of us have either tried, completed or thought of: create your own library.

Congrats on putting it together.

Just remember, you can read all of the books and articles; outline all books, articles and DVDs; go to seminars and Classics; watch the DVDs over and over; BUT YOU HAVE TO HAVE TIME ON THE WATER TO PUT THE THEORY INTO PRACTICE.

Just because Ike or VanDam, etal says to do "A" it may be "B" - "C" or "D" on the water.

However, what Ike or VanDam, etal says will help form your base of information to plan your attack.

Keep us posted on your successes and failures and what media helped or hindered you that day.

Welcome to the forum.

P.S. What part of Penna are you living? Philly? The Big Toona? Pittsburgh? State Penn? Erie? Main Line? Upper Darby? We can give you better feedback if we know where you live and fish.  Please add it to your avatar.

I totally agree with u on the foundation.  i really don't have alot of info from ike and VanDam most of my library comes from books by Al Linder, Bill Dance, Bill Murphy, and Fishery Biologist.   Reading Fish Survey reports and understanding the "why" has helped me alot.   Going threw all the magazines from the 70's to now. The 70's has some good info, the 80's it gets better but the 90's has the best info and the 2000's is full of sell, sell, sell and repeated info.  The on the water experience is the fun part and i have seen great results so far here in the eastern PA.  thanks
