Super User Bankbeater Posted March 12, 2013 Super User Posted March 12, 2013 Forcast said spotty showers for Saturday morning and it would clear up around noon. It rained a cold rain all morning before letting up around 11 AM. Then the temp went from the low 40's to the low 50's in a few hours. Never got a single bite and I threw spinnerbaits, jigs, t-rigs, and shakey heads. Talked to some others and they hadn't gotten any bites either, so that made me feel a little better. Quote
kanasbassfisher08 Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 jerkbait man that would be my best guess Quote
WartownBassin Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 dont feel bad man...same thing happened to me this past weekend as well...threw everything I had and no bites Quote
JellyMan Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Lucky man. At least you got out. I am in Vermont until the end of summer. We still have a solid 3 weeks before it's fishing time. Meanwhile my brand spanking new un used Revo S on 7' Mojo Bass sits in the corner mocking me. I can't wait to get back to Florida! Quote
Super User Tuckahoe Joe Posted March 12, 2013 Super User Posted March 12, 2013 I got skunked this weekend too. The major downside to bank fishing is that theres only so much water available to you and if the fish aren't there, then thats it. Hopefully they'll be moving shallow soon and getting a bit more active. Quote
Super User tomustang Posted March 12, 2013 Super User Posted March 12, 2013 You got your line wet, that's better than most at least 1 Quote
zwhiten12 Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 How fast were you working the trigs and jigs? I would have also thrown a jerkbait. Don't worry about it though, we all get skunked an it is no fun, just look forward to your next time out. Quote
